Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

The Atroxious

An odd thing I've noticed is that despite their reputation as being drab, the most vibrant moths are more colorful than the most vibrant butterflies. Take the sunset moths as a prime example.

CityRaptor

The reputation of animals is often wrong. Take the whole "Reptiles are abhorrent" thing.
"Reptiles are abhorrent because of their cold body, pale color, cartilaginous skeleton, filthy skin, fierce aspect, calculating eye, offensive smell, harsh voice, squalid habitation, and terrible venom; wherefore their Creator has not exerted his powers to make many of them."
Most of that is just plain wrong. Even more so given that Dinosaurs are Reptiles, too.

Couldn't agree more. My mom still swears to this very day that my sister's bearded dragon was evil. I guess it's just a mammal thing.

Great quote from Jurassic Park Novel!

CityRaptor

It's originally from "Systema Naturae" by Carl von Linné aka Linnaeus, who also happenes to be the type specimen for the most common species of ape.

GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS---Kyle Chandler (Peter Jackson's KING KONG, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) will play the father of Millie Bobby Brown (STRANGER THINGS) in the sequel. Ken Watanabe is returning from the 2014 reboot movie.

CityRaptor

Oh hey, it's Bruce Baxter! That means he already has some excperience with big Saurians and Kaiju.

Serizawa's return is welcome news, too.

I would hope Dr. Ishiro Serizawa returns. He does know a lot about Gojira/Godzilla.  They need one person from the last movie.  Maybe he knows about the other Kaijus that are showing up now.

Would of been funny if Kyle Chandler was in the Kong movie too.

CityRaptor

Maybe he could appear in Godzilla vs. King Kong, depending on if his character survives this movie.

That would be cool.  Maybe he in the post credit scene in Kong Skull Island, that leads into Godzilla 2.

CityRaptor

Depends on when that scene is set. Keep in mind that Skull Island is set in the 70s.

I heard in the post credit scene there will be appearing as cameos. I think in King of the Monsters we will see a grown up Kong ready to fight Godzilla.

...or help him.

Could be a monster both need to teamup against.

suspsy

I strongly suspect that Godzilla and Kong will fight each other initially, then team up to fight a common foe. Just like Superman vs Batman, but hopefully nowhere near as awful.

Will Mothra come out of nowhere and save them like Wonder Woman did? Maybe the big bad will be King Ghidorah and then that will lead into the next movie that was to be like Destroy all Monsters.  Well I guess more like Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster, because Rodan, Mothra,  and Godzilla fought King Ghidorah.

Them teaming up at the end is the most likely scenario. If Godzilla loose will tick off the Godzilla fans. If King Kong loose will make his fans mad. The 1962 movie was pretty much America vs Japan.  Long to believe that it had two endings, but it didn't it ended in a sorta draw.

Ugh, it seems I can't go anywhere on the internet without someone bashing that movie...

Honestly, I have no interest in King Kong v4.0.  I have even LESS in seeing him fight Godzilla.  I thought the idea was stupid when I first heard of it, I thought it was even stupider when I heard that it had been done before, and I thought it was downright insulting that Godzilla lost.  I'd rather be forced to watch the "That's a lot of fish" scene on repeat for 2 and a half hours.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Derek.McManus

It's a conundrum...the public probably want to see giant monsters battle each other in the movies but how do the writers create a compelling story that can stand at least a little critical scrutiny...it's a poser of a question for sure!
