From what I know about teasers is that those often contain unfinished CGI.

And both Dinosaur scenes are pretty much hommages to scenes from the first film.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Blade-of-the-Moon

Looks like some JP3 quality cg right now, I do hope they improve it...but YES!! ;D

Awesome!!!!  8)

I have to say I'm pretty excited after viewing that. But it seems they've replaced Brachiosaurus with Apatosaurus.  :-\

Yes Apatosaurus is on the new species list. It's at least replacing Brachiosaurus in the Park itself..not about the restricted area.

If you recall Apatosaurus was the sauropod of choice from the novel, not Brachiosaurs anyway. Due to the feeding requirements they opted for medium sized " giants".  Not at all disappointed int he choice really..Brachios were featured in two films after all.

DinoLord

I love Apatosaurus too but there's a lot of nostalgia associated with Brachiosaurus and the JP franchise. I wonder if any will rear up this time around. They do seem to pay some homage (at least in the very limited amount of what we've seen) to the original film.

Oh sure. I mean every scene in that teaser was a nostalgic tribute, the gates opening, the Gallimimus chase in the same field, the Apatosaurus scene with the kids rolling instead of walking and looking up at the sauropods ala the Brachio scene with Grant.

Correct me if I am wrong, but apatosaurus isn't new to Jurassic Park films. As far as I remember, they lived on Isla Sorna and were present in The Lost World (the scene with a mercenary riding a bike between column-like legs of a giant sauropod).

That was a memenchisaurus in the lost world.

I just saw the teaser that was shared on Jurassic Collectables' Facebook page and my gosh I'm excited. The computer room looks like something from NASA or even perhaps Star Trek, and while the dinosaurs do look sort of rushed I know this is just the teaser so things are still most likely being tweaked for the actual film.

Longer ,thin neck on a Mamenchisaurus...Apatosaurus has a shorter , stocky neck..for one thing.

Looks more like a Diplodocus if anything else :

DinoLord

Mamenchisaurus also was in the background of the riverboat scene in JP3. I wonder how closely they'll stick to the original dinosaur designs for species that have been in the films before. The Gallimimus look to be colored more dully than the ones from the first movie, but then again the CGI may not be quite finished yet.

These are also probably Wu-saurs ..his newer versions.

Good point. I wonder if it'll still be all females on the island, when considering the world's knowledge of breeding dinosaurs after the events of TLW.

amargasaurus cazaui

Takama is right, the animal in the scenes is a Mamenchisaurus.
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

Oh okay. :) I really need to get a good dinosaur information book. I haven't found one yet though.
I'm really hoping in the trailer they show us the mosasaur. :D I think they have one in the park...

The CGI looks like Crap

Not for a mere teaser. They're usually worse, but this is quite passable. I imagine the actual film will look a lot better, of course.

13 years of waiting and it's finally happening. I'm so excited! L)
Me too. When I was 11 I was waiting JP4 will be one day!
The gate doesnt look very well but the dinosaur scenes are epic! I really like apatosaurus. Very close to the novel.

And I dont know if soemebody saw the leaked dinosaur from JW lego toy line.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Yes there is a mosasaur water show ..and hopefully we'll see a glimpse of it ( maybe eating the great white shark)in the trailer.  We'll also see the new Raptors from what I hear..not sure if we'll get a glimpse of the D-Rex or not ( the white-ish lego dino).

Awesome! It'd be really cool if they did show a glimpse of him/her. (EX: A shark is dropped into the water then BOOM big blur of teeth and fins and then the shark is gone.) True but perhaps a shadow or silhouette of D-Rex? Perhaps we might get to hear D-Rex's Roar?
