Are that going to use the prototypes we saw back in 2011? That would be great.

Yey for new Action figures

lol maybe..if Hasbro can actually get them produced.

Hasbro has some good unused sculpts lying around already, it's very likely they'll use those after all. At least, I dearly hope so, since I have no interest in even more lame-ass JP III repaints. Got enough of those already.  ::)

It seems JP IV is finally going to happen this time. I remain skeptical (can't be anything else after over a decade of nothing), but hey, at least we still get JP 3D regardless.

It would be great if they used those..and maybe made some more as well.

I know how you feel..I'm the same way..but it's hard not being a jaded JP fan anymore.

Gwangi

They might better use those sculpts, they already have them! My hopes for JP4 aren't high but I cannot help but get a little excited. Maybe a break between sequels is just what was needed. It is good to know that Spielberg is in someway involved but that doesn't mean it'll be good, just look at TLW (the worst of them IMO).

The Lost World REALLY should have followed the book more..even if it was broken down into two films.

I'm really feeling JP4 might be a " requel " . A sort of relaunch/ sequel to start fresh a bit.

Everything I've read states that they're insisting JP4 will not be a reboot. Shame because that would probably be the best route, especially if it was more like the book. I hope they can incorporate some things from the books into the new movie though.

A requel would be an exact reboot..just sort of. Kind of like the new Evil Dead film. I'm still waiting on the river raft sequence myself..we had a touch of it in JP3..but I really want a return to a park setting. The feeling of nature barely controlled about to release chaos is really what the last two were missing.

I don't think we'll have that river raft scene unfortunately because of JP3 which had both a raft scene and pterosaurs. I too enjoy the park setting for the reasons you mention, the other two just seemed like standard lost world type movies. Maybe a sequel where they are trying to re-build the park on the island itself. I can see scenes of them trying to rebuild fences and corral dinosaurs into enclosures and tranquilize them and such but it ultimately failing and backfiring but that sounds too much like the roundup scene in TLW. It would be interesting to see the original island and some of its locations again. I dunno, it will be interesting to see what they do. Hopefully it will be Nublar and not Sorna again.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty excited for that Evil Dead remake.  ^-^

Takama

I have no idea what to expect.

I feel that they might use a Cancahrodontasaurid as a Villain,   Spinosaurus is overrated thanks to JP3

Normally, I would say i will be mad if the raptors are not up to date, but as long as people don't take these films seriously, scaly raptors would be fine in the JP Universe

The one thing i do not wish to see is any Non dinosaur Prehistoric creature that's not Pterosaurs.  Its bad enough that they expect the audience to think that they made Pterosaurs from Dino DNA.

:) Sorry, Takama, pterosaurs are a must for me  in JP4. :)

Jurassic mosquitoes would have feed upon pterosaurs also so following the "JP" premise of blood fed mozzies caught in tree sap (later turning into amber) I would expect that the JP scientists would chance upon the old bit of pterosaur DNA...

Takama

I have no trouble with the Pterosaurs, its just Marine Reptiles and Pre dinos that i was getting at.  They were not in the first three, and they better not be in the 4th one

Blade-of-the-Moon

A trip back the first island would be fine with me.  Or perhaps a second park Hammond was working on..or his rivals Biosyn now ...we need to bring Dodgson back and let him be the villain he was in the books.

The Raptors were created with the concept they were what people expected to see. If they are recreated and tweaked by another company like Biosyn then we can have feathered accurate raptors now. Maybe they can even have a fight with the original JP ones.

The pterosaurs were made from the same process is all. They never touch on it really in the film but one of Hammond's other DNA sources is ground up fossil bones.  So we can easily have marine reptiles and even a Dimetrodon.

Pterosaurs have long been mistaken as dinosaurs in popular culture. It was a trend started waaaay before JP :P

Brontozaurus

JP4 should be a remake of the first movie entirely from the viewpoint of the Tyrannosaurus. The majority of dialogue in the film is her inner monologue.

Ha! That would be great  ;D

John

Assuming this actually gets made,it would seem that Will Farrell has not killed any chance of seeing dinosaurs on the big screen again after his bomb "The Land of the Lost" after all. :)
But I don't expect much from this either. :)
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Not all. I mean we are getting Walking With Dinosaurs 3D as well..I think that's this year ?

suspsy

I would prefer JP4 to be a complete reboot of the series.

I would like to see it incorporate all the latest findings, namely feathers.

I would like for that biased oaf Jack Horner to not be involved with the project in any way, shape, or form.

I forgot about the Walking With Dinosaurs movie.I don't remember when it was supposed to be out,but I do remember that it will revolve around Pachyrhinosaurus.

I don't see us getting a complete reboot..not when Universal has so many exhibits and attractions and such based on the original films..would take a lot of reworking.

We just might see feathers.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I didn't want every dinosaur to be retrofitted with feathers, but on the flip side I wont them to go the opposite direction and try to make the dinosaurs monster like and scary. I was really hoping to get a small feathered dinosaur like a Micro Raptor to replace Compies. Im just afraid they may go the route of making them more like the Kong dinosaurs in design, big stupid monsters.. like the Spinosaurus.

I always appreciated Jurassic Parks blend of science and science fiction.. I hope the Dinosaurs are still fair representations of them as animals.
