The apatosaurus eyes having whites bothers me more than it likely should >.<

As for the apatosaurus not defending themselves, they were probably made extremely docile, remember they are kept with glass balls.

I'm with you there..and being blue too...there was a fan fix that looked much better somewhere.

That is possible now..especially if Wu had anything to do with it ala the novel. They did stampede and panic really well though..

I don't see the problem with the eyes being blue. There are both, birds and lizards with blue eyes.

Also seems like everyone's favourite mathematician will be mentioned:

In real life the author of a book named that would  be a creationist....

Oh, and I'm also currently reading the "Making of Jurassic Park". Chris Carter states he designed Jurassic Park in a way that would allow visitors to see the Dinosaurs in a "natural" environment. He also predicted that Jurassic Park would stay true to this for the first then years, then someone would try to turn it into a freakshow...what is going on in Jurassic World kinda fits, doesn't it?
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Arul

June !! But first, avenger the age of ultron cant wait to see the "hulk buster"  :D

The issue with the eyes is that there is white around it so it looks a lot like a human eye which is..off-putting.

That certainly fits..you have to keep impressing the public after all...

CityRaptor

I'm aware of the issue with the white, I was just asking about the blue.

And thus Jurassic world was already predicted in 1993!

Well, that confirms what I think about Owen and his Raptors. Not tame at all!

Have you tried to click on "Continue to MTV Us anyways"? Because I did and it worked for me. I'm in Germany.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I actually liked it quite a bit despite there being no dinos shown.  There was a dynamic between the two of them , Owen seemed like Grant/Malcolm rolled up in one and Claire reminded me of Temperance Brennen/ BONES..very locked in her lab/self. So maybe we will get good memorable lines and scenes for the people as well this go round with nice fleshed out characters.

Odd that MTV allowed viewing from Europe but not Canada. Thanks for the youtube link.

I wasn't able to view the official link in the UK either, that's why I sought it out on Youtube instead :)

By the way, I didn't like the clip.  :-X

It is really difficult to remain objective when we have so much invested - I'm trying not to judge it based on expectations and knowing the other films so well.

SpittersForEver

It was good-ish but I would have liked to see a dinosaur or some of he park. I agree with what Blade-of-the-Moon said.

I'd peg Owen as Grant/Malcolm/Muldoon myself.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Blade-of-the-Moon

I've read a lot of complaints aimed at the humor level, it really felt like a lot of the back and forth we had in the first film. Malcolm was certainly provocative in his language then. Ellie was " tenacious" ..even Grant had some attitude.

I didn't get any of these characters coming through particularly strongly in Pratt's performance. Grant is more contained, Malcolm is more unconventional, and Muldoon is more serious. I can't imagine any of these three characters thrusting their fists to imply sexual intercourse in the manner Pratt does here. Pratt is basically doing Starlord again, for better or worse. Such a mischievous character is certainly something new to the JP series.
