has it reached US$1B mark already all over the world?
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Just saw it yesterday and I loved it, I hope they make another!

Already looking forward to it myself! lol  It's being said we might hear an announcement at Comic Con in July.

Call me the party pooper but I'm not looking forward to a sequel. :P I didn't much like the direction Jurassic World took and the next one will only continue the trend it has started. I'd prefer a slower character-led film about dinosaurs as animals, but I think those days are long gone.

I didn't want to say too much in this thread because it is spoiler free but I agree. Naturally I would go see a JW sequel and I wish it my best but based on the direction JW seemed to be heading I'm not feeling optimistic.

We might see a film like that, but I don't think it will be a Jurassic Park/World film. The last good effort ( I thought) was Dinosaur Revolution and it didn't fair well...same for WWD:3D.

I quite liked Planet Dinosaur.  For me, that was the last good effort.  I managed to watch a bit of Dinosaur Revolution but then it quickly got too unbearable and infuriating and I had to stop watching it.  Finding out what happened in some episodes of it made me hate it even more.

Regarding Jurassic World, I found it enjoyable and entertaining.  Like others have expressed here and elsewhere though, I think it was a missed opportunity and could have been better if it focused more on the prehistoric animals as animals and incorporated the fascinating things and newer discoveries known about them more.

I don't think we're thinking the same thing. I'm thinking something more akin to "Dino-Riders" than anything else.

I was going off Adam's post about a dinosaurs as animals film.  I loved Dino-Riders as a kid..been hoping it would actually a film treatment or a new cartoon series.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a live action version of Dino-Riders or a new cartoon series but I just don't want the JP franchise going down that road. A live action "Dinosaurs and Cadillacs" aka "Xenozoic Tales" would be nice too. While we're at it lets get a "Dinosaurs Attack!" movie too.

Also add Devil Dinosaur to the mix when we are at it.

Would "Age of Reptiles" also work?
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I don't think they would go that far..training and control would be about it. Of course like Malcolm was fond of saying, " The kind of control your attempting here..it's not possible. " If they can't keep things from going to heck in a controlled environment it will never happen in the wild and under combat situations..just way too many variables.

A C&D movie would be great!  We did almost get a Dinosaurs Attack one..I think Tim Burton was considering it.

Devil..might work. Almost as well introducing the Savage Land at least..something I'm not sure they are ready to do quite yet..but the success of JW might change their minds.

AoR was basically like Dinosaur Revolution..so we did get it..as much as I love it I know many didn't. :/

Yes, Tim Burton did want to do a "Dinosaurs Attack!" movie but I believe after "Jurassic Park" came out he switched gears to "Mars Attacks!" so he wouldn't have to compete with JP. It's a shame, I would especially love a "Dinosaurs Attack!" movie with Tim Burton's signature stop-motion.

I don't know man, I really think militarized dinosaurs are the way the JP franchise is headed. I highly doubt we'll get another park movie and I'm not sure I want that either. The military stuff in JW was there for a reason and we know that THERE WILL be another movie. "Jurassic World War" maybe?

AoR was basically what Disney's "Dinosaur" was supposed to be. That didn't work out too well.

Does anyone feel like the JP franchise is going to turn into GI-Joe movie, with Ingen as Cobra using attack dinosaurs to take over the world.   ^-^  remember, the GI-Joe and transformers cartoons of the 80's were only done to sell toys!

Well, it ended like that due to executive meddling. Disneysaur...meh. "The Journey" kinda reminds me of that movie....but done right!
In a way the upcoming Pixarsaur also seems to have some traits from Devil Dinosaur, namely the Dinosaur with the primitive human Sidekick.

Everyone Qhotes Dinosaur Revolution, but i never had a Chance to see All of the episodes. Not evean Netflix has all of them to view >:(

I do have Dinotasia, which i thought was a Great movie on its own. I dont mind the Anthropomorphic behaviors of the animals, as i view it as a movie not a documentary.

At this rate, i feel if we get any new Dinosaur movie, Its going to feature a new Fake Dinosaur Thanks to JW. Its almost as if Hollywood is giving up on the real deal

If it means more toys with a prehistoric bent, I'm all for it. Especially if they start using 'mind control boxes' or 'psychic stones' for dino control. And loading so many weapons onto the dinosaurs.
