I really like this tyrannosaurus rex from Kaiyodo and it is 26 centimeters! bigger than what I expected and that you know many members of the forum that I am not a supporter of the articulated figures, but it does not stop being a very good and cool figure.

I suppose as it is said in the forum that it will be expensive, but that does not mean that it is a great and awesome figure.  8)

Good to know, Robin. By the way I am from a nation belonging to the European Community (Spain). Are tariffs paid in advance? And if you can send this figure under the global shipping method.

I bought from Hobbylink Japan in the past.
They are very professional and fast.
But HLJ can't use Global Shipping Program because it is an Ebay thing..
On the website you can choose different shipping method (SAL, EMS, DHL, FedEx) : usually I use EMS.
I'm from Europe too (Italy) and items shipped by a courier have to go through Customs... no way to skip..  :(
The good thing is that EMS, DHL and FedEx have a priority way through Customs so the shipping way to your home is usually faster.  :)

Well I will choose the method that you have indicated to me Robin I will buy them by the EMS method. What has been said unfortunately the terrible customs and their taxes can not be avoided.  :(

They use to stop items above 40€, so this won´t be stopped at customs most likely. It is quite cheap and I assume that the box will be small.

I really love the green variant. I hope that it is available at HLJ so I can get one of each.

Shonisaurus

The truth is that this tyrannosaurus of Kaiyodo are very, very cool. I really like that figure and that is articulated more than can not but we must recognize that it is a very beautiful figure. Obviously I'm going to buy that beauty as soon as I'm on eBay or maybe I'll buy it from Brett or from MonsterHouse. It is a very well done figure.  8)  :D

tyrantqueen

It wouldn't be Kaiyodo without a green variant >:D

ITdactyl

Despite not collecting Rexes, I just had to preorder the first variant.

'Got a few friends who pre-ordered with me but they've since retracted their orders - saying that better tyrannosaur toys are about to be released with Fallen Kingdom.  I sometimes forget that Rexy is the de facto tyrannosaur of the masses.

I'm still curious if the head of the Sofubi toy can be moved to look forward when the body is in neutral position.  I haven't seen pictures that show this.

mgaguilar

Ugh both look amazing. I cannot wait to get my hands on these.

As everyone is seeing, it doesn't look like this Rex has the ability to level out its snout, otherwise I think it would have been advertised as a feature of the articulation already.

Shonisaurus

The two tyrannosaurs of Kaiyodo as well as many other Kinto Favorite figures have already been commissioned from Brett.

The tyrannosaurs of Kaiyodo (articulated as I call them) will be available as Brett told me in May or June. It will be sent to me by the global shipping method to avoid customs taxes.

I am not very supportive (in fact I have mentioned) of dinosaurs or articulated prehistoric animals, but these two tyrannosaurs (with their two color variants) I see them very, very cool and very nice, so I decided to buy them, even if they are the twentieth replica of this legendary dinosaur that has toy figures but it is truly worth buying these figures.  :)  :P

Does anyone have reference with size for this figure? I feel as though the two would pair very well for dioramas.

Simon

Ummm ... I hope this doesn't sound cheeky, but the answer is right on the box ... "370mm" (37cm or 14.8 inches) ... that is the length of this model ... its 1/20 scale, and BIG  ;)

I have two of them in my model closet (unbuilt) that I plan on customizing in the future ... for one thing the "cheekless" look is gonna be FIXED on them ...  ;D ;D ;D

PhilSauria

I'd love one of those Triceratops!, but everywhere I have looked they are so expensive (My fascination and admiration for Triceratops is second only to that for Sauropods). Yes I too would take steps to do something about the cheeks - it just looks wrong the way that it is. Diminishes an otherwise outstanding rendition. Like the PNSO one with the jaw articulation but mine keeps its mouth shut at all times.

Shonisaurus

Honestly I like all kinds of dinosaurs and ceraptosides is no exception. It is good news that Kaiyodo makes a big triceratops (articulated but big) so he will keep company with my two tyrannosaurs entrusted to Brett at the time.  :)

mgaguilar

New Images found online of the green rendition!
I think they both look fantastic.

Simon

Oh Good Lord!  In a couple of those photos it looks like its trying to do the "Cossack Dance"!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad that the scale is too small so I won't be tempted.  The "straight up" retro-poses REALLY rub me the wrong way ... the way the head is frozen and can't be rotated up is just .... a fatal flaw on what otherwise would be a really, REALLY nice TRex ... *SIGH* ...  its just a toy ... (keep repeating) ... its just a toy ...

:(

EmperorDinobot

Goodness me! What a wonderful Tyrannosaurus! I must have it!
