And yet another chinese "company" that copies Rebor's type of presentation.
I don't think that Rebor invented the "figure+base" concept nor the "on-black-backdrop" presentation/photography..  ::)

Well, they are definitely inspired by Rebor's success.
Good thing they did not copy the over-sized feet, awkward proportions and weird postures.

Very nice looking figure. When the PNSO version comes out, we'll have no shortage of excellent Giganotosaurus figures, but the only really good Carcharodontosaurus is the Safari, which is just a little small for my taste. Maybe Vitae or PNSO can tackle that one next.

The carcharodontosaurus of Safari is excellent, but I sincerely also like the one of Collecta seems to me a great figure.

By the way Acro-man are you going to market that figure in your store?

I would not do so.
Sincerely this thing is at $50 retail price in China.
MHHK is selling it for $50. Surprisingly reasonable.

Maybe it's because the sculptor Cheung is from Hong Kong so MHHK can get the models from him directly than from Taobao and save a lot on shipping.

BTW, Cheung has made a number of resin sculpts and large sized museum exhibit statues.
However, this Giga is his first mass produced model.

Acro-man:

Is there a taobao link to purchase this Giganotosaurus? Also where can one purchase the Monolophosaurus and the sauropod shown in this link?

ceratopsian

Thanks for those links acro-man. Most interesting and some appealing work. I am not quite tempted enough to buy the Giganotosaurus (just personal preference, nothing specific that puts me off) but I think this will be a line to keep an eye out for. Especially if he does a good sauropod!

Tumtist

Definitely get this one, there gonna have 2 version right?

Can't wait to see the other one,Maybe I'll get 2 of them.

That's the one I have, and it isn't bad, but doesn't compare to Safari or PNSO.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Dang it looks impressive - and BIG.  The base is much larger than the PNSO "Wilson" base ...

Shonisaurus

It is superelastic plastic, which makes it resistant to fractures and abrasions and looks very good. The arms are removable which is something I do not like, but honestly you have to understand the mentality of the company. But in absolute terms it is one of the best figures of giganotosaurus made so far.  :)

I suspect that I'll need to put a clear plastic rod under its belly to keep it from bending in the heat, but it actually looks like its pretty well balanced by design.  And its just gorgeous.  I like the moveable arms especially.  Haven't seen that in a theropod toy since RESAURUS bit the dust .... the pose actually looks better than it does in some of the photos... here's hoping they sell a lot of them and it spawns a line of 1/35 figures ...

Awesome! A friend of mine is going to China. Does anybody know where to find this in Shangai?

Judging from that video the figure seems way too flexible, to the point of being unstable.

AS soon as they annouced it was made of TPR. Thats pretty much what i expected.

Same here, but I got the solution, I know just what to do.  Go HERE and take your pick: https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=plasticguy14&_armrs=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xclear+acrylic.TRS0&_nkw=clear+acrylic&_sacat=0

In the video he says it's not soft enough to impair standing, or to bend in heat.

Well, if there are metal rods inside each leg he might be right ... but somehow I don't think he's had to watch his figures start to droop during a Central Valley, California, or Texas, or Phoenix, Arizona Summer!!   ;D

Happily, I've got lots of clear acrylic rods ready for all upcoming theropods, so "its all good"!  ::)

acro-man

Agreed.

Clear rod support remedy is most commonly used to help pose action figures and clearly the easiest solution to stability problems.
Yet many people prefer hot water remedy (non-permanent) or metal rod implantation remedy (break-n-repair) applied to dinosaurs only to avoid a visible support.

Then I tell them every time, "You want it to stand right? Just use a toothpick already!"

Silvanusaurus

It looks like a fantastic figure and I'd be tempted if I were financially fortunate, although the looseness of the jaw in that video would cause me hesitation, I almost always prefer a closed mouth look.
