Question about an eBay seller

Is anyone else having trouble buying from Monster House Hong Kong? When I access his account from eBay.co.uk, his listings don't appear. Does his store block IPs from certain countries?

I am aware this seller is a scalper, but he has a particular figure in his store that I can't find anywhere else.

Hmmm...can't say I've ever heard of this seller.

If you don't mind me asking, what figure is it that you're looking for?

If the problem is that you can't see items from MHHK in your UK account, usually the problem is Ebay..
Try to log in on Ebay.com, go to MHHK shop and mark the item in your watching list.
Then return to your UK account: now if you can see the item in your UK watching list, that's an Ebay problem.
But if you can't buy the item, the problem could be elsewhere..
Same problem happened to me months ago.

postsaurischian

I always have the problem with not being able to see all items Monsterhouse HK is offering.

It's the Kabaya Deinonychus

I searched it using eBay USA and found it here is the link.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kabaya-Kaiyodo-KAZUNARI-ARAKI-Deinonychus-Dinosaur-PVC-figure-figurine-/162695311303?hash=item25e1656fc7:g:DPMAAOSw4GVYRuIF

I bid on items using eBay USA and eBay Canada and it works maybe you can try using the Buy it Now on the eBay USA site. I would click on the Buy it Now before logging in and then log in after it prompts you.

P.S. He lists the UK in the list of countries he ships to.

Just tell me you're not going to spend THAT amount of money for THAT figure ...

Do you know where else I can get it?

He does have some other things in his store that aren't so outrageously priced. And it's fun to look through his stock- he has pretty good taste.

Look at the items bought :
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=kabaya%20dinosaur&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

70$ for the complete 5 set collection + the bonus seismosaurus.
I would say not a cent over 25$

Try this seller :
https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=Dinosaur+kabaya&_ssn=kobe_one&item=192297383797&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.TRS0&_nkw=Dinosaur+kabaya&_sacat=0

- ask him if he has left an individual Deinonychus.

There is also on YAJ - but it's for the more experianced buyers.

You can make a search on ebay :
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H1.Xkabaya+Deinonychus.TRS2&_nkw=kabaya+Deinonychus&_sacat=0
and ask for an email notification when ever a new find pops out - they usually does -
and it's not like you really need it right now for your daily survival ... :)

Yeah, I use YAJ regularly and have done so for years, but I have not found a Deinonychus there ever.

You have a Deinonychus in this set :
https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p575148721

There was a time when the set kept selling for just 2000Y ( 18$ ) -
But when it stopped selling - I think the seller gave up ...

I would send him a message via Facebook.  That's how I've ordered from him (including just recently for the new Tat Gioganotosaurus), and he always responds right away and then sends me a PayPal invoice.  Never had any trouble.

I agree with Brontoscorpio - $99 is ludicrous for just that figure - it would be OK for the whole set, which I've owned in the past. Can't be that rare.  I've seen this figure (usually in sets) everywhere (ebay, YAJ, etc. etc.)..

Personally I don't feel one is a true collector until you have spent ludicrous amounts of money for a useless toy that you believe you need right now for your daily survival.
I know I have.  ;)

BrontoScorpio

Yehhh.... LOL
we've all been there - I know it all too well -
That's why I was amazed with tyrantqueen, since she's not a new member -
and I believed she has all but left this phase behind here ...

You're right, it was foolish. Thanks for the advice, I will wait for a better offer :)

If you buy from YAJ - Follow my lead - The entire set goes for one third of the price you found.

I admit I have some 'sensitivity' for some sellers of products from the far east -
since it is mostly them who exploit my 'Naiveness' when I was New and Green ...

Lanthanotus

I got mine via Brett from Japan and paid like  60€ for the whole set including shipping  to Europe.

Oh that's a nice figure!

It shows up on eBay here in the USA. It's pretty expensive, though.
