The giganotosaurus Mojo is going to make a very good couple together with my giganotosaurus Vitae that I just received yesterday. Much better than in the promotional photo.

The deinonychus impresses me a lot. It is awesome   8) The same can be said about the baryonyx.  :)

In what refers to the diplodocus is the only Mojo figure that I will pick up from online stores with less interest.

Giganotosaurus, deinonychus and baryonyx are very good figures that improve Mojo's theropod trademark with respect to last year. His figures are very cool.  8)

whoah theyve repainted their stego and brach too! :o

anyway, i will buy all the new Mojos when i see them in the stores.

Anyone else disappointed at how Mojo hasn't made any new prehistoric mammals lately, especially considering how great most of their previous ones have been? I do like that new spotted pattern on their Smilodon though. May have to get that sucker.

Good to see the real deal, as always and yeah, I'll be buying these when they become available. Liking that Giganotosaurus. Don't know if I can afford the Vitae one but this should display well with the five other versions of this animal that I already have. And the Sauropod was always a given with me.

I have always had a problem finding the Dinosaur toys that I like from local stores.   The two toy stores that used to sell Safari switched to CollectA and Papo last year.  Now those same two stores are replacing them with Mojo.  Mojo toys are now easier to find on the shelf than any other company.  Even Hobby Lobby is all about Mojo.  My only other local options would mean heading to Toys R us and get Schleich or go to Michaels, where the Safari models are from eight years ago.

My question is this!  Mojo's quality has improved and the cost of their toys is low, is that why local retailers are switching to them?

sauroid

in my case the price of Mojos being sold in our outlets has increased by $2.00 because theyve repackaged their figures in clunky useless boxes.

Re: useless boxes - useful to the company to squeeze more $ from our wallets. Environmental responsibility goes out of the window when they can make a bit more profit.

Just wanted to say I bought my first Mojo, the Allosaurus today.  I'm actually impressed with how play worthy this guy is.. he's a lot of fun really..i'm sitting here now moving his arms, feet, neck, mouth, and tail.  This rubber is pretty neat he just doesn't feel as fragile as 99% of others i collect.  It's very..freeing.

The same thing happens to me with the green and red tyrannosaurus of Mojo are quite flexible and that is appreciated. As for the allosaurus it is a well finished figure and it seems that it was made of rubber, although it is of an outstanding quality and a beautiful painting.

I would like many figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals in general to apply the philosophy of the company Mojo, to make figures with a given material to suffer abrasions and breaks, and that is ideal for the collector and children alike.

It's what I like about Mojo's theropods. I hope the giganotosaurus, deinonychus and giganotosaurus have that same philosophy. And the same is true of the diplodocus sauropod.

On the other hand I spoke with Jason de MInizoo and he told me that those figures would be available in mid-February.   :)

how rubbery are they? are they like those giant rubber dinosaurs and dragons they sell at ToysRUs next to the Schleich/Animal Planet section?

I only have the Mojo thylacine, quagga and a small ermine figure and they really aren't that pliable, sure I can bend the ermine's tail but I wouldn't really want to do it often.

sauroid

it is rubbery but i havent tried bending mine like what Blade did with his Allo. (rubbery in a semi pliable way, not in a squishy kinda way tho.)

Blade-of-the-Moon

yeah not squishy,  or hollow feeling.   I can bend the tail tip around and touch the hips, move the arms and feet easily, head and neck can be turned, mouth open and closed, ect..   kids like to change things and test boundaries,  the fact with a little strength they can manipulate this figure into new poses is pretty cool for active play.   I dropped him repeatedly on a concrete floor with no damage not even paint scrapes.   this would be great for educators or anyone that just wants a dino to carry around, sit on a desk where it can be knocked over or whatever.    Being really cold might be an issue but besides that, nothing.   I'd love to take this guy out and play in the mud, dirt, rocks, water this summer.    The only down side i see is being softer teething kids and animals would possibly be able to chew off pieces.

terrorchicken

that seems cool for a play figure, but as a collectable figure it seems like it would make it look kinda cheap? I guess Id have to see one for myself. The only other times Ive seen Mojo figures in person were a couple times at Hobby Lobby but they were the older extant and dinosaur figures and those never felt like you described to me. Must be that new plastic that the horse collectors at STS forum have been complaining about.

Blade-of-the-Moon

that's what i had to do,  just bite the bullet and order one. I grabbed the Allosaurus..well because its an Allosaurus.. lol   yeah if your looking for a piece for the shelf then you might not be impressed.  If you like some detail and play ability i'd say try one.

Shonisaurus

Looking at the sts forum website I have seen that the new Mojo figures are of a considerable size as they can be seen in the showcase and they look very good on all theropods (I have been impressed in this photo by the baryonyx apart from the giganotosaurus and deinonychus).  8)  :)

On the other hand I have seen that they have repainted darker color (brown tones) the Mojo triceratops.

I give you the link:

IrritatorRaji

Thanks for the link!

One of my bigger concerns was that the Baryonyx rested on the tip of its tail, and that thankfully doesn't seem to be the case.

Shonisaurus

I just visited the page of Mojo and they have just published their catalog 2018 so I see they have repainted many figures, especially the stegosaurus and the repainted triceratops look much better than the original ones I passed the link,

http://www.mojofun.eu/pdfs/MOJO.pdf

On the other hand seeing what they measure the novelties of dinosaurs 2018 are enormous for what was the philosophy of Mojo taking into account that the tyrannosaurus rex (two color versions) is a figure of a considerable size.

Shonisaurus

I just browsed the sts forum page and asked if the new figures would be made of the same material as the elastic figures of 2018 (allosaurus, green tyrannosaurus and brown tyrannosaurus).

The company Mojo has answered in this forum that they will be made of PVC unlike last year's dinosaurs that were made of TPR.

As I know that some members of the forum complained about the material of the previous figures, I communicate it as good news, although I sincerely wished that these figures made of TPR material would follow.  :)

Katieraptor

That Baryonyx is decent. The giga is no good though.
What I love about Allosaurus is that it lived an extremely violent life that was rife with broken bones, cuts, scrapes, infections, sprains, and yet it just kept on truckin.

Do we have a release date on these guys? I can't wait to grab that Giga and Bary.
