Colossal sized Baby Blue and Compsognathus are about the only things I could ask for at this point.

avatar_Victoria's Cantina @Victoria B Honestly I think my only complaint has been the confusing distribution. Perhaps this has less do to with Mattel, since they did just give us April 16th as the initial date, and perhaps the fault lies more on JPToys, which has mentioned things being in 3 waves, and I'd like to know where that conclusion came from, since there's been a lot of inconsistency's regarding that information over the past few months, which has led to confusion and frustration for many collectors.

The "wave 2" Roarivores (Ankylosaurus, Ceratosaurus, and Pteranodon), and Attack Pack figures (Herrerasaurus, Stygimoloch, etc) started showing up in stores (like Walmart) rather piecemeal-ed since June at the earliest I think (the Suchomimus was on Amazon for a while, but finally hitting store shelves now), and seem to be finally having a wider distribution now. The Grab and Growl Indoraptor is finally hitting stores now, and the "wave 3" Attack Pack figures (Protoceratops, Minmi, Proceratosaurus) seem to be showing up in some places (I haven't been able to go toy hunting for a while so I can't confirm if any stores in my area have them yet, but some stores have been carrying the Grab and Growl Indoraptor according to Brickseek). Other then the initial Legacy figures that were available with the rest of the line, still no sign or word on when the others will be released, although the Symths in the UK has had the Spinosaurus since last month, although they have been stocked a few times on Target's website, only to sell out instantly.

I also have to wonder what led to having Maisie be a Target exclusive, when she is not part of the Legacy collection.

I'm also hoping the massive layoffs Mattel has had (or having) does not impact what's in store for 2019. While some things could have been better (painted finger claws on the theropod figures, repetitive sounds across the Roarivores), I think the team working on this line has done a really good job so far by trying to have things be as film accurate (in sculpt mostly, paint apps/color schemes secondly, as much as being a toy first and foremost allows), and having a consistent sense of scale, along with offering various humans, and vehicles, with lots of articulation beyond the started should and hip joints.

I have one question: is the Super Collosal Rexy avaiable in UK? I am going there next week and I though about looking for her since IN my Country everything is too overpriced to buy. And if Yes, how much more-or-less does she cost and in which stores should I look?

I am thrilled to announce that Britt Shotts, brand manager for Mattel Jurassic, will be my guest on the next episode of the Cantina Chatter Podcast. We will be discussing a wide variety of topics related to the Jurassic World line, including performance, availability, distribution, QC, and the future. If you have any thoughtful questions or comments for Britt (outside of "When is this coming out?" or "I can't find this!") please reply to this post or send me a private message. We will select a few to respond to.

Why on Earth did they have to name the Pachyrhinosaurus toy Sinoceratops when its clearly not the right design for the animal?

I get that the toy was finalized before the movie changed the animal.  But is it really that important that they Mislabel the product? ITs like calling a lion Toy a Tiger.   Or calling a Baryonyx a Spinosaurus

Sucho-Matty-mus

I was lucky enough to get the wave 1 Baryonyx the moment it hit stores. The Suchomimus on the other hand I searched and waited for a while after it was announced and after it was released couldn't find it anywhere and then suddenly it was going for like $40USD+ for no reason. Luckily snagged mine at retail price from Amazon and its amazing.

Distribution: Mattel really needs to work on that. China/Hong Kong hasn't really seen any Wave 2 (and 3) releases besides the mini blind packs. Still waiting for Cerato, Anky, Sucho, attack packs etc. And we're still missing Wave 1 stuff like the Legacy humans and Mosasaurus.

"Sinoceratops": Will Pachyrhinosaurus be re-labeled correctly? Or are we stuck with this mislabelled Pachyrhinosaurus without any hopes of an actual JWFK Sinoceratops?

Better proportions: Some of the dinos have proportional issues, namely short rat tails, bobble heads and oversized feet. Feet can be forgiven due to stability, but the rat tails are a real issue. Allosaurus, Spinosaurus, Proceratosaurus etc suffer from short midget tails, when the packaging could've quite easily fit an inch or two more of tail (maybe not the procerato)

Allosaurus re-sculpt? The current allosaurus is painfully average, a retool would be appreciated. Maybe for the new collector's line?

Or like calling a fictional super-intelligent scaly Dromaeosaur frog hybrid a Velociraptor? Sorry to be blunt, but complaining about Jurassic Park designs being mislabeled is about as semantic and arbitrary as can be.

If the leaks are to be believed Universal did some major micromanagement of Mattel, specifically refusing to let them make a large sauropod or a Spinosaurus in the main line, instead making them shelve those for future lines. If this is true it makes sense they would also force them to keep the marketing surrounding Sinoceratops consistent.

Haha, missed having you here.

Personally I don't care what it's called, it's a great action figure and I can't wait to own it. Standing on my shelf or sitting in a toy box it won't matter what name was on the box. Of course, I would like to have an actual Sinoceratops. Maybe they'll get to it someday but one by Safari would be preferable.

Regarding distribution, in my case it has been better than I expected. I expected a transformers/hasbro type of distribution, which is usually not very good, but here in Spain the distribution has actually been decent.

In regards to wave 1, we got all the human figures, and both story packs. We had almosts every "dinosaur", even the Colossal T.rex. We did not get the Mosasaurus though (which is very irritating, and it goes for an astronomical price on Amazon Spain). In regards to vehicles we only got the jeep wrangler with net, the gyrosphere blast vehicle and the gyrosphere RC.

From wave 2, I have seen Owen lockwood battle, Claire and Weatley. I have seen all wave 2 dinos.

From the legacy collection, which is exclusive to El Corte Inglés, we have the 3 humans, the first bunch of basic dinos, the 6 pack, the T.rex and the Spinosaurus. I wish we had gotten the 5 pack that comes with Alan Grant, I prefer that one.

From the Battle damage I have only seen the basic figures and only once.

We also have the mini dinos blisters and some matchbox mini vehicles but I did not pay attention to those.

So thats it, I am happy with what we got. I thought that the legacy collection would never come, and here it is.

It could have been worst John, a lot worst.

Now changing the topic a bit...Right now I am on vacation in Andorra....AND I FOUND THE MOSASAURUS! I though that I would have to pay a fortune to get it but NO!
I am so happy, I also got Owen with baby Blue. Also bought Claire story pack since it was cheaper than in Spain and a Gyrosphere blast vehicle for the same reason.

Despite considering it one of the weakest dinosaurs and originaly skipping on it, I got a Metriacanthosaurus. I thought: Why not?

will Target release another run of the first wave Legacy Collection figures(the standard and set of 5 mini figure packs)? They came out and got wiped out by the scalpers pretty early on, many fans never got an chance to get them.

Thanks for the questions, everyone! Between this site, JP Toys, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, I've received over 100 questions. Obviously I don't have time to ask 100 questions, so I will be taking the most commonly asked questions (many of which I already had planned to present) to make sure that we have a well-rounded discussion about the toy line. I actually didn't get too much in the way of feedback such as "I like this product" or "this line is my favorite," which was one thing I was hoping for, but I think the Twitter polls I ran not too long ago help in that respect. Again, thanks! And stay tuned for the episode, which will be available through Apple Podcasts, Podomatic, and YouTube.

Picked up the Ceratosaurus this week. Does anyone else find that it can't stand up on its own?

I visited Walmart today and they had one of each of the "wave 3" Attack Pack figures (Protoceratops, Minmi, and Proceratosaurus). I didn't get any though since I'm in a little predicament right now so my collecting for the mean time has to be put off. At least it means they've hit shelves around my area now. I'm hoping by the time the rest of the stuff for this year (the Pachyrhinosaurus sculpt with the Sinoceratops name and color scheme, as well as the remaining Legacy stuff, such as the Spinosaurus) is released I can get back into it and finish the collection off (until next year's lineup). In the meantime I'll just wait and watch.

What influences international toy distribution? Australia, for instance, has not received the Mosasaurus or the battle damaged figures (among others), but we have gotten the first two waves of roarivores, attack packs, the super colossal rex and recently the articulated Indoraptor. I'm interested in why we're missing parts of the line.

Mine can only stand facing certain directions? I guess my floor is a little tilted. Regardless, in the correct position and facing it stands pretty sturdily.

Takama

Mine can stand in ahorizontal pose, but it almost always falls forward after a while.

However when i raise the pose into a "Almost" Tripodal Stance, it stands perfectly fine, for a long time.

It's the only roarivore i'm having trouble with.

I think mine stands alright, but it's definitely top-heavy, and how level my surface is can make a difference.
Mattel made great strides in tails for JP figures, but there's still room for improvement.

That's a real shame. Aesthetically it might be the best theropod they've produced. There's always something...
