Picked up the Ceratosaurus this week. Does anyone else find that it can't stand up on its own?

It's the only roarivore i'm having trouble with.

That's a real shame. Aesthetically it might be the best theropod they've produced. There's always something...

IF you pose it in a Tripodal Stance(not quite with its tail touching the Ground) It should stay standing

However, Each individual toy is diffrent.    My Baryonyx stands nicely, while others say theres dosent

Sucho-Matty-mus

I had issues with the Suchomimus standing up properly. its rather front heavy so it would fall over randomly and easily.

I don't know if it's just me. but my Allosaurus has issues with standing up. The joints seem kind of loose, I guess maybe it got shaken around a bit too much in shipping or something.

ah, good to know it's not just me then. I currently keep him wedged underneath my JP 2009 Rex, it's certainly preferable to standing him back up every day or so.

My conversation with Britt from Mattel is now available and an be streamed via YouTube below. Or if you prefer, it can be downloaded via Podomatic and Apple Podcasts. We cover a lot of ground, and she was a great guest and very open about the line.

Well I found a "wave 3" mini assortment today. Even though it came out with the last wave, I picked up a Spinosaurus (I felt the figure in the package I had and was right about it being the spino). Now I just need the Carnotaurus, the two other FK 3 packs, and the two Legacy mini packs. Maybe some more.

I'll try to take some pics of the little paper it came with when my dad gets home, because my phone's quality is too poor to pick anything up, especially when its getting darker in my room and the only real source of light I have other then daylight is from my turtle's setup (no ceiling light in my room). But anyways it has the 3 pack with Blue on it, along with the previous 3 packs, and on the back it lists the figures included from this box of minis (such as this one, the Ceratosaurus, Dimorphodon, and Postosuchus). Interestingly enough the Pachyrhinosaurus sculpt is called a Pachyrhinosaurus. Which is strange as the roarivore is called Sinoceratops on the packaging and in the app.

Anyways here it is alongside my others on top of the Mosasaurus packaging, on top of the shelf that's home to my BotM displays. Also the packaging code for this one is 18180BU3. Sorry for the poor quality.

Alright here's pics of the little paper:

Edit:
avatar_Victoria's Cantina @Victoria B Okay so I'm only like 20 mins into this podcast, and so many things said that are just amazing. Like if the products alone didn't scream that the future of the Jurassic toyline is in the right hands now, then clearly listening to Britt proves it. I can clearly see she is really passionate about the Jurassic Park franchise, and even confirming that Kenner and fan's desires was a source of inspiration for at least some of the toys is really something good (it seemed so likely, but here it is confirmed). She has my thanks for sure, as well as the rest of the team that has helped to put out some amazing stuff.

Is the Spinosaurus rare or did they just release it early??! I really don't see it anywhere. In contrast, the Suchomimus is easy to find (it shows up quite a lot on Amazon for $19.99)

Flaffy

VERY interesting how they market the Pachyrhinosaurus mini as a Pachyrhinosaurus.
Where did you manage to find the Wave 3 Blind Packs? avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin

Just finished Victoria's wonderful and entertaining chat with Britt.  ^-^
It was really nice of Britt to reach out to the community for feedback and suggestions, something you don't really see with large companies very often.
The podcast definitely answered a lot of questions I had regarding the line, it was really cool how passionate Britt was to the Jurassic franchise, Mattel definitely deserves the license more than Hasbro.

A real shame the Pachyrhinosaurus, Sinoceratops issue wasn't brought up though, was really hoping to hear their explanation on why they chose to do this, and if we'll ever get to see an actual Sinoceratops in the future.

It seems to be exclusive to some places. Here, in the UK, it's exclusive to a toy store called Smyths

I brought it up to her and she responded saying that they are very aware of the mistake, and that they won't be addressing the issue this year, but they will correct it if they incorporate either species in the future.

I only have troubles with my allosaurus, Baryonyx stands just fine.

Something I promised a long time ago:
Old vs New: Hasbro´s Jurassic Park III Animatronic Spinosaurus vs Mattel´s Jurassic World Legacy Collection Extreme Chompin´Spinosaurus

Personal I think both do things better than the other, for example, I think the old one has better proportions, but the new one is painted RED like it supposed to be.
More pics on the comparisons thread.

IrritatorRaji

In my opinion, the JP3 Spinosaurus looks and feels nicer but the Mattel Spinosaurus functions far better as a toy with play features that a child won't break instantly

Faelrin

Thanks for uploading that comparison pic. I think I like the brown and blue markings on the JPIII toy a bit better, because it's closer to the maquette, but the new Mattel one does nail the red aspects, as well as the sculpt, and of course the articulation. It's pretty cool how close they are in size too. I'm still eagerly anticipating the release of this Mattel Spinosaurus in stores.

I definitely like the Mattel Spino better in nearly all aspects apart from some of the proportions. I hope they actually release it in this country because I'd probably pick one up.

tanystropheus

Why is the EC Spino hard to find?! I thought Mattel was planning on making it ubiquitous like their EC T-rex?!

If the leaks (most of which proved true) are to be believed Universal either actively forbid or discouraged Mattel from including a Spinosaurus in the line at all, and they had to jump through hoops to get the Legacy line made.
