[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

I know its been up on the Canadian Walmart website for a bit now (maybe stores too? I wouldn't know though), and I think it might be hitting stores in the US. In the US it's an exclusive to Walmart. The Legacy one is exclusive to Target.

Thanks guys with the information. It will come in handy for my next shopping adventure  :)

Here's an image dump I took of my newest addition to my Mattel Jurassic film species collection, the Legacy Collection Spinosaurus. This thing costed me nearly $100 (including shipping), thanks to me not wanting to miss out on this one since Target will not stock it anymore. I did not want to take the risk of these getting any more expensive so I acted when I could to get one. I bought it from someone in the UK on ebay. Luckily I also had the money at the time to get away with getting this in the first place.

Some of these have been posted in the comparison thread here: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=4081.msg217776#msg217776

I do want to mention that for whatever reason, my dad's phone camera does not pick up the coloring of the eye properly (which is a yellow green, not yellow). My phone's camera does, although its image quality is worse (but the pics in the Recent Acquisitions thread here should suffice: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=7102.msg217759#msg217759 )

So on to the pics. Here it is in the package:

Back of the box of both the Legacy Spinosaurus and Legacy Tyrannosaurus, to give an idea of how much larger this thing is:

Here it is with an unopened Mosasaurus:

Here it is out of the box, with the tail attached, with my Mosasaurus that was bought back in April:

Here it is with the other larger creature figures I have from Mattel's current assortment (the Thrash and Throw Tyrannosaurus is more to scale, but I don't have that one yet so the Legacy Extreme Chomping one will do for now):

A group pic of my favorite meat eaters from the franchise (just missing the Legacy Dilophosaurus, which isn't out yet, and the skeleton will have to do for now for the Indominus rex):

Here it is with the Suchomimus, and Baryonyx:

Here it is with some of the other creatures new to JPIII (I did not include the Ankylosaurus since it is based on the one from the World films, and therefore does not feature the same coloration as it did in Jurassic Park III. The Legacy Collection Velociraptor/F which is clearly based on the male raptors from that movie, that had the quills, is missing, since that one is not out yet either. When that one is released expect an updated group pic):

Fembrogon

Man, that thing looks nice. It has issues, sure, but... Man, I want one.
Not enough to spend $100 on it, though. Credit to you, sir, for being so bold!

Honestly, the Spino was the one release I've still been particularly interested in. I'll probably bow out of the Mattel collecting now that the figure's essentially extinct in the wild.

avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon As much as I hope that it makes a comeback for folks that don't have one and want one, I won't be holding out hope that Target will carry it in stock again. But I hope they prove me wrong nonetheless (even if it means I've ultimately wasted about $75 bucks on getting this one, but well sometimes risks must be made, and I'd be happy setting more folks getting one that wants one, for themselves or their children).

However it might be worth pointing out that Target has been (gradually) expanding their toy selection on their website for Mattel's Jurassic World stuff (at least). They are now carrying some of the Roarivores, and a few others (like the Suchomimus, Stegosaurus, Attack Pack Proceratosaurus, others), and from what I've heard Target will be expanding their toy shelves now with Toys R Us gone in the states.  Here's to hoping the remaining Legacy figures show up on their website, which would make things much easier for collectors (at least in the states).

there is also the possibility that they will rerelease the spinosaurus with a different color scheme. I know that's not as cool as getting it with the Legacy colors but at least its something.

Faelrin

Honestly I'd be down for that (even a Battle Damage version. I mean there's the Battle Damage version of the Extreme Chomping Legacy Tyrannosaurus, so...). This sculpt is awesome, and there's so many people that are going to end up missing out on this, that legitimately want it, but that can't justify shelling out as much as I did (or more) for one, just because the availability for it is so poor.

At this point I wouldn't even mind a neon-highlighted repaint. Just something to get that sculpt to the larger market.

Well, these guys are officially starting off their first winter!  ;D Took them out in the snow.

So today I went toy hunting looking for a Battle damage Gallimimus (I know this one is available in my country thanks to Jetoar) and to see if the new Legacy Collection figures had arrived to my country, specially Dr. Malcolm. Did not find any of those but got all the battle damage figures that I was missing. I hope the rest of the legacy figures make their way to Spain (Ian Malcolm above anything else). I did find one Zia and the second mercenary though, but only one of each. So it may be in the following weeks more stuff will come. Will have to ask my family to check some places for me.

By the way, cool pics avatar_Dilopho @Dilopho.

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp I saw your pics in the other thread. Congrats on getting them, especially Battle Damage Blue, which is way better then the Attack Pack version for sure.

And last night I noticed Target's website was carrying the Legacy Gallimimus, but as I went to buy it, it sold out. But now that I have spotted it there, this gives me hope it will show up again, assuming I don't find it in a store the next time I go. The Target site is finally having more things stocked on their website, such as the human figures, Attack packs, Roarivores, etc, then they've ever had before. It seems they are expanding it every day, so for those in the states it may be worth checking often. In fact the Legacy Collection Pteranodon (the one with yellow wings, the images are wrong) is up right now with 3 in stock: https://www.target.com/p/jurassic-world-legacy-collector-pteranodon/-/A-53286315

Thank you avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin.
The thing is that I already had a battle damage Blue, but it had some paint problems on the eyes, tongue and teeth. So I bough a new one which, while not 100% flawless, looks much better.

Also, I decided to go to one last toy shop after returning home from my toy hunting morning, and I managed to get what I was looking for in the first place!
The Battle Damage Gallimimus!

Faelrin

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp Oh. Now that you mention it didn't you have a post of that one a bit ago? Well at least you got a better looking one now. And congrats with finding that Battle Damage Gallimimus.

And speaking of the Battle Damage Gallimimus, it's up on Walmart's website now (for those in the US at least): https://www.walmart.com/ip/Jurassic-World-Battle-Damage-Gallimimus/675388802

I would have ordered it myself, if I wasn't broke at the moment. But this means it should be there in the near future, and should hopefully start showing up on shelves. Same goes for that darn Legacy Gallimimus I was late with buying last night. I'll just have to keep checking in the mean time and hopefully nail either of those online or from in a store.

Battle Damage Velociraptor (out of stock at time of posting): https://www.walmart.com/ip/Jurassic-World-Battle-Damage-Velociraptor/604680645?fbclid=IwAR3-nNnYs1IqVR4Z6QhT1QxDZ8oCtEp4vYLgfpQ1b8pjahSpJKNO2lcwIps

Does anyone know if Amazon sells Battle Damage or Legacy figures? I'm looking for the BD and Legacy Galli.

They do, but it seems like most of them are from 3rd party sellers not offering Prime/not fulfilled by Amazon, which is not too bad.
The Battle Damage Blue is going for 11.49 which is not too far off of the actual price of the figure.

New paint job for the BD Pteranodon. Now I'm interested in this one.
