So I got the Grab and Growl Indoraptor last night for nearly $10 on Amazon. No way was I passing up that kind of crazy deal. It is still going on right now, for anyone that's been holding off for one reason or another: https://www.amazon.com/Jurassic-World-Indoraptor-Frustration-Free-Packaging/dp/B079KJ25PR/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_21_bs_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=4ZFJAZ6690VCFWHHK7SN

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

anyone have brand new figures that have loose joints? I just removed the BD monolophosaurus from the package(the one it shares with the BD Trex) and one of its legs is pretty loose, so much that it has trouble standing up. Really bummed about that since its my favorite sculpt of the smaller figures.  :(

So it seems like Toys R Us in Canada will be getting the remaining Destruct-A-Saur sets (at least the smaller Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, and Pteranodon sets, aside from the other two they have been carrying) after all and some apparently even have them (if ebay listings, etc are proof). Is there anyone here that would be interested in helping me get the Velociraptor set (for store price + tax with conversion rate and shipping into account)? I might have to wait to pay for it until February and I would hope that there would be plenty around to go by then.

Sure thing. Though I would be more comfortable ordering it online, once it's available there, as this way I could accept payment in advance.

avatar_stargatedalek @stargatedalek Should I send a message to you about this now? Or should I just wait until after February arrives? Depending on how much it is, I may be able to do it on the 1st, but it might be better for me to wait until the week of the 15th (since I have rent to pay on the 1st, etc and I'm also paying someone $40 then too). Maybe hopefully by then they will have it on the website too.

Perhaps it would be good that I wait until February for now, but if you find out how much they cost please let me know, since I would be okay with paying you in advance. I can't imagine it would be more (or much more) all together (including shipping) then the listings on ebay for it coming from Russia or Mexico though, but even if it did, it wouldn't be the first time I've spent a lot on something from this Jurassic line (*cough* Spino *cough*).

Mattel; two complaints - why are we only receiving a fraction of these prolific ranges over here in Australia?, and where are the Sauropods?!

Brachiosaurus and Apatosaurus have had much more screen time and prominence in the films than some of the species now filling shelves and pegs in plastic. All we've had in regard to Sauropods are a couple of the minis (and you guessed it, none of these were available here anyhow).

Not holding my breath for either of these to be addressed but I thought I'd just get it off my chest.

So, you didn't get the news back then, huh?

Brachiosaurus is coming this year,  she just not a part of the dino rivals line or at least it is not part of the first batch of this line. An Amargasaurus is also coming.

As for distribution, sorry I cannot help with that. :(

PhilSauria

No, I did not see that so thanks for pointing it out. So, good to know that there will be Sauropods but (probably) not good to know that it will be yet another that I'll never get my hands on. Should stop reading the Mattel thread! Okay - don't recall an Amarg in JW, where's the Apatosaur?

Being on the other side of the world I miss a few items that are posted and bumped from the side bar by the time that I check in. I have, if you'll pardon the pun, only recently begun checking the 'recent' tab. (takes me a while but I do notice things eventually!)

Faelrin

There doesn't seem to be an Apatosaurus coming out, which is sad as I honestly wanted one since Jurassic World, but I'm gladly going to take the Brachiosaurus (especially considering this is also a JP fan favorite, and this is the first of its kind for any Jurassic toyline) and Amargasaurus (that I'm hoping will be fully revealed at NY Toy Fair next month. They got too for both of these). I also saw they are making a Mussaurus too, which I saw was a small species of sauropodomorph.

It is possible they could make an Apatosaurus another year though. They are probably going to test the waters with the Brachiosaurus and Amargasaurus.

I still have no idea what is going on with distribution in Australia (I'm in the US), but I saw they got some of the Battle Damage assortment finally, and are getting some of the newer things too. But I've seen time and time again that it has been just a back and forth game between retailers and Mattel and it is like no one knows what is going on. I can only hope you all get some good stuff after the distribution disaster. Honestly it would have been nice to see Minizoo pick up this line for folks there and elsewhere, but I know it isn't their typical thing.

Considering that they are going to make a GIGANT Brachiosaurus already, I think asking for an Apatosaurus right now is asking for too much. Like Faelrin said, they are probably testing the waters with this big Brachiosaurus, if it is a success, then probably in the future we will get Apatosaurus. Releasing two giant dinosaurs at the same time is a risky move, so it is better to start with one.

Also, we can say that is already a miracle that we are getting a big, in-scale sauropod. Neither Kenner or Hasbro did it back then, Mattel is the first one to do this.

So I suggest that you save your money and buy that Brachiosaurus when it comes out, that way we can tell Mattel that we like big Sauropods and then, they might give us the Apatosaurus later on.

Before doing anything I must point out that any dino rivals releases should not be posted in the first page of this thread but rather in the 2019 thread.
I was the one who send all the pictures to avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon so he could upload them on the first page, so if you need them again I can help. I can also look for pictures of the new figures.

Blade-of-the-Moon

My problem is I only use Facebook to host photos, and for some ungodly reason they change the addresses of them so you have to keep updating it.  That's why my signature keeps going off and on.  It's a royal pain in the tail.

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon Try Imgur instead maybe? Or another reliable image host?

I could, I had photobucket but it's kinda junk now.  I've used DA but it's not for this kind of thing.  Honestly it's all a big hassle on top of all the other work I have to do. :/

The Destruct-A-Saurs Dilophosaurus set is now on the Canada Toys R Us website. Looks like it is $16.99 With the google conversion thing it is close to $13, which is pretty close to what these would have been if they had gone up on (US) Amazon, if it weren't for them not going through with carrying them.

avatar_stargatedalek @stargatedalek Assuming the Velociraptor set is the same price, I can probably pay you that $13 this Friday (or more if need be, to cover taxes, etc). Not entirely sure about if shipping would be able to paid this week though, depending on how much it is. I'll send you a PM on this on Friday.

I would rather not accept payment until I'm sure I can get it for you if that's ok.
