Now that Toys R Us is gone, where is the best place to look for these? Target? K-Mart? Walmart?

mgaguilar

@tanystropheus Correct. Should be all of the above, although I didn't know K-Mart was still a thing.
Target has several exclusives, so be sure to look out for those appearing on shelves there.

Well, it looks like KBtoys is making a potential comeback...so that may be a place to look in the future.

Pretty interesting news. I used to get most of my toys from one of those mall stores as kid.

Pachyrhinosaurus

I saw that, too. I'm taking it with a grain of salt but it would be nice to see KB around again. I got a lot of the JP: Dinosaurs at the one that was in the mall where I live.

Ditto.  They did have some good stuff I couldn't find anywhere else...especially their KB Outlets.

$25 only? Not bad Mattel, not bad at all  ^-^
Wish they gave it a better paint scheme though, or at least a different one from the Thrash and Throw.

The Allosaurus bugs me a lot, the teeth and mouth just look goofy as heck. It's as if the sculptor was wearing blurry glasses when they were sculpting the poor thing.

I still prefer the medical center Allosaurus figure and David's blue one is a close second.  Mattel's is still better than Hasbro's though..gotta look at the cup half full and shaking. ;)
I have the blue Showdown Allosaurus.  Bought the JW Allosaurus on a lark and regretted it, ended up gifting it to kids who don't care.  I don't know why, but I love the Mattel Allosaurus, in spite of the oversized fangs.  But I would LOVE to get hold of a TLW Allosaurus, not even if it has the medical center as long as the dino itself has all the parts.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

I LOVE Allosaurus if it's not obvious, but I just couldn't make myself buy that Hasbro one.  Maybe it will show up in a bin or lot or a yard sale one day lol   I've had my MC Allo since I found it on the shelf at walmart.  I had a choice, it or the TLW Carnotaurus..both of which became hard to find.

KB toys is where I first saw the toys for Jurassic Park! great memories! great deals/discounts on Barbie/Disney dolls too. Now that TRU is going OOB maybe they can be a replacement though I doubt they will ever get as huge as TRU got.

Question for people in the UK, when these figures drop, what stores do you think I could buy them in? Toys R Us is gone so, um, yeah, not sure where to go to get these (yeh, I could shop online, but going to a shop saves on shipping fees, haha)

Sorry that I'm asking again ^^;

Blade-of-the-Moon

Not being huge is how they might succeed.  Dollar General is a good example of a small chain being hugely successful, they are everywhere, even walmart was taking notes.   Being smaller, offering great deals and getting in lots of these empty little shopping centers...they might have a chance.

People seem to be getting review copies of the super colossal T. rex. This video's thumbnail seems to best represent the situation, honestly.

Folks buying from scalpers or Mexico.  Either way they are paying too much really.

You sure didn't miss much by skipping that yellow abomination.  And I missed out by not getting that Allosaurus with the medical center.

I swear it looked like a really bad copy of the Papo Allosaurus .. it and that awful Spinosaurus..thing lol

Now that's cool package art. Tempted to get this just for display, even if it has the RC gimmick. Not a fan of the story pack Gyrosphere with cracks and such.

The presence of the apatosaurus on the box gives me hope that it might still be in the cards.

The Jurassic Park Collection on YouTube posted her review of the Extreme Chompin' Tyrannosaurus. Looks like a day 1 pick up for sure.
