I still want to know just what that thing is tit comes with? A red Tardis? A pencil holder?   I would have paid double for a destructible restroom with Gennero.
If there's going to be a Gennaro packed with a rex, it needs to be the thrash and throw.  That sucker is just made for eating lawyers.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

too right!

Picked up a battle damage triceratops.  I'm surprised the amount of articulation put in for something this small and the gimmick being the battle damage.  Toys R Us was sold out on pretty much anything JWFK, and I have yet to see any Roarivores yet :(.

^which is the one that comes packaged with the Walmart excl. monolophosaurus?
That's the Extreme Chompin.  The Monolophosaurus looks pretty darn good, as a side note.

thanks! thats the smallest of the 3 right? thats good, I really dont have space for large figures. Also Ive finally seen the attack pack and battle damage figures and the mini dino mulit pack set from Walmart. Got the mini set and a BD triceratops(I liked its posed legs better than the stiff Roaravore one.) Didnt see the Rex with the monolophosaurus, yeah that figure is one of their bests in this line though I hate the cheap red paint "damage" on the Rex.

Unfortunately my cat may need a very costly dental procedure done soon, so Im going to be very limited on toy funds this year. :(

I managed to purchase the Super Colossal rex on Amazon a few days ago (last one in stock!), but then... my dad finds the Walmart exclusive and buys it for me, haha. Since he's a collector, as well (not of dinosaurs), he can be kind of an enabler. :)) The normal one is supposed to arrive tomorrow, and I'm not sure if I'll keep it and have double trouble rexies, or be prudent and return it, to save some money and space.

Anyway! Here's my beautiful girl, surrounded by some of my classic JP stuff!! <3

I think my copy was a hand-me-down, but I've read it a few times over the years, and it's survived a few moves and trips in my purse. There's something special about a worn paperback :')

That book looks pretty cool! I haven't even thought to check out what kind of JP/JW books are out there currently.

Totally agree.  I have a hardback, but i never pick it up.  The paperback is so easy to carry and i just flip to any chapter and head off from there.

This is neat treats you like a member of Claire's DPG team.  Some silly stuff a couple tony mistakes but overall pretty neat and some new info, a great briefing before seeing the film.  For example i had no idea a Triceratops was the first dino ever cloned for JP.

What I think is excessive is the amount of variations. I mean, according to the app there are ELEVEN raptor variants (and that is without counting Blue), SIX Dilophosaurus, EIGHT Gallimimus and SEVEN Pteranodons. Also, how many times are going to give us the exact same Extreme ChompinĀ“ rex? There is already three, in the regular line, in the legacy line and in the battle damage line....Should I ask if there is also another one for the Destructasaurus or I should ask if there is NOT going to be one?

Do we really need that amount of color variations and different versions of a same Creature? Could have they spend their budget in...lets say...a Roarivore Parasaurolophus?
EDIT: Also lesss variants will mean less money to expend :)

Fun to see my image here, I was the one who noticed that on the back of the other leaked images and cropped it.
I'm still wondering what the dang red box accessory is. Best guess is some sort of transformer. What does everyone here think?

So does anyone have a clue about the Destructasaur line? I just saw that there's more images of more things from it on JPToys, but with Toys R US closing has anyone seen any of these in stores?

Looks like no one ever answered this. So TRU was supposed to get the Destructasaur but they announced their closing in time for Mattell to cancel any Destructasaur TRU shipments. It will go to a different US retailer at some point, no clue when. It has been confirmed Walmart in Mexico will get at least 1 of the Destructasaur sets, so it stands that Walmart in the USA will as well. Man I just need the UPC #s!

Awesome!  My JP copy looks about as worn as yours lol

I just received this in the mail from Amazon :  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0525580832/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My copy is a mess as well! We should create a 'show us the state of your JP copy' thread :))

My copy is an original pressing from 1990, gifted to my sister that year. I must have read it first time after seeing the movie, and first book I ever read start to finish, when I was only 10. It is still in a fairly good condition, just a bit of aging. Never owned the second book though.

Something from the film we haven't seen yet?   We know Rexy doesn't like electricity...

Pencil sharpener.

That red box almost looks like it contains missiles, or some kind of projectile? (A Thrash 'n Throw with Gennaro and a toilet would be amazing, by the way!)

So, my normal Super Colossal rex came in the mail yesterday, but she's still in the packaging. I'm undecided if I want to keep her, after getting the Walmart exclusive! I honestly prefer it over the regular one now, even though they're both fantastic. I'm not a huuuge fan of the "ketchup" damage on the Walmart one, but I love that it can roar, and I found another difference between the two:

The Battle Damage rex has a nicer colored jaw. It matches the belly color really well, while the normal Colossal has a jaw that's much lighter; I think it's just an unpainted piece of plastic.

What do you guys think? Double trouble rexies, or save some money (+ space) and return the normal one?

Blade-of-the-Moon

i'd say keep both.  mt BD Rex is mib while i openly displayed the regular version.

I am leaning towards keeping both.. I'm not one to keep things boxed, though, so it would be tough to try and keep one MIB, haha. Curse my indecisiveness xD

If you're any good at repaints, you could perhaps repaint one of them as the green male tyrannosaur?

I've actually never tried repainting anything, but I'm sure I would enjoy it! Recently saw a repainted colossal rex with the Kenner red rex coloring... it looked amazing.

Edit: here's a link to the repaint I mentioned! So cool!
