Last year Postsaurischian had a Japanese friend who visited one of the expos and was able to bring back models that people wanted. Perhaps he might be able to do so again this year.

I hope so ^-^.
We're getting closer. We have a location now :D.

My living room smells like old plastic dinosaur toys... Better than air freshener!

Daspletodave

WOW! This new Favorite Tamba sauropod is awesome. It won't appear on the Favorite website, because it is a museum exclusive (the Saurolophus and Tarbosaurus never appeared on the Favorite website either). This is gonna be hard to get, but worth the effort.
Please keep us posted as to when it becomes available, and where exactly it is being sold from.
Thanks!!!

I don't understand Kinto.
Obscure species for collectors.
Ultra-common generic species for everyone else  >:(

I completely agree. It's very frustrating.

What a nice model it is. If anyone manages to get some, please try to save one for me...  ;D

postsaurischian

Still not sure when it's going to be released.
The video says only 1500 copies will be made.

May I ask if one of the moderators can re-name this thread to "Favorite Softmodels"?

We're the leading Dinosaur Toy Forum in the world and we should use correct thread titles.

I'd love to score one too. But they can keep the guy in the yellow suit.

Hello Mr. Hirokazu Tokugawa! It's nice when an actual sculptor of some of the dinosaur toys discussed on this forum actually joins the forum!
I've visited your website and greatly admire the dinosaur and other prehistoric animal sculptures you've done. Your museum Tamba sauropod is another triumph.
I was fortunate enough to acquire the Favorite softmodels of the Saurolophus and Tarbosaurus you did. I hope to get the Tamba sauropod softmodel too. For those of us who are not on Facebook, could you please inform us on this forum when the model becomes available for sale?

I have been reading about dinosaur finds in Japan. Obviously the Tamba sauropod was a huge discovery. I also read that early Tyrannosaur teeth were also uncovered near Tamba City. Mr. Tokugawa, can you tell us if we can expect a "Tamba Tyrannosaur" next?

:) Cool! That's better, thanks!

Funny little movie! Great model, a museum exclusive, alright. Maybe I should try to get one of these.

Did you get the Saurolophus and Tarborsaurus from Bucketfoot?

Daspletodave

I got my Saurolophus and Tarbosaurus straight from Japan.

Awesome! I don't normally buy Favorite models, but I think this one is worth getting. I doubt it will be easy to get it though.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I wouldn't mind getting one..it would be my first Japanese dinosaur replica..as in one actually found in Japan. :)

Daspletodave

Kaiyodo also made some replicas of dinos that were discovered in Japan - the Fukuiraptor and Fukuisaurus. There may have been others - I don't collect Kaiyodo.
