As promised - some supplement about Don Glut -

A considerable volume was dedicated to Don Glut in one of the ' The forefront of dinosaur science ' Magazines (  恐竜学最前線 ) from 1992 to 1995

Been called as 'The collector "Dinosaur Don" '

It is evident his whole house is filled with all kinds of Dinosaur souvenirs -

And at least no sign in here for any Questionable content ...

I have to admit some of his collection items demonstrates general bad taste -
on top of all the other dubious content that was in bad taste on its own

But if you care to look carefully at some corners , like the upper right corner from above, you'll find real high value gems  :

And the main reason for me mentioning it - are the Kaiyodo models :

Like here, a room full of models of all sorts and kinds :

Including the complete Kaiyodo collection series of Resin kits :

This great Kaiyodo cabinet realy deserves a better photo of its own :

And twice :

It was done like 30 years ago - so maybe that was the notion back then ...

I do remember it being tossed around as an option back in the late 80's/early 90's (when I was studying Zoology in college) but I don't remember anyone really taking it to heart with a "this-horn-is-it" type of attitude. IIRC, it was more of a "could-this-be" type of attitude that was fairly easily dropped after further discussion. I know there were a few models made with the differing horn lengths, though.

The enormous boss at the base seemed to suggest to some that it supported and gave rise to that colossal horn. Seemed possible, to some folk.

Assortment of rare items  bundled together inside my newest parcel :

BrontoScorpio

First, I made short work of the missing Leg on that 3D printing TGM 'Noboru Yanagi' Juvenile Carnotaurus :
( Alas, apparently  it broke one of its fingers in an incident ... I have spares arms - but the glue on those that are attached is too strong for comfort ... )

With some of my Carnotaurs :

Next is this 'Alucard' Coelophysis Garage Kit ( アルカード  コエロフィシス ガレージキット )

The kit is actually a one piece model and a pedestal :

Made in a form that gives it some notion of mystery about the pose of the animal -  standing there with undefined expression as a true vintage kit should look like ...
I wonder if those gray spots are originated within - I dare not try to take them off - as the model is so small and slender

With some of my other ALUCARD models - The smaller ones :

Just remembered I saw a glimps of that model in one of the DINOPRESS Magazines - describing the 2002 Wonder festival :

Next, is the rarest of all Kaiyodo DINOTALES and the only one I was missing until now :

The mint state should look like that -
Kaiyodo Chocolazaurus Siamotyrannus ( 'Elementary School' / Shogakukan - Mail Order)
海洋堂  チョコラザウルス シャモティラヌス( 小学館 - 通販 )

It was the 1st version of  a 'Siamotyrannus' ( who's  pelvis and tail alone have been discovered )
It was prepared and released on July 2001 ( 2001年7月号 ) as a special edition of Chocolazaurus -
for "first and second graders" ( 「小学一年生」「小学二年生」 ) as a gift to all applicants who requested it.

Later on, three other repaints were made as SP03 ( Special Items ) as part of the Chocolasaurus 3rd series -
so now I have all four :

Next and last item in this bunch :

Kabaya ( カバヤ ) Dino World (  ダイノワールド ) - complete set of All 10 types Dinosaur Figures Candy toys ( 食玩 ) -

It is a repaint of 10 of the 12 Yujin Dino Museum -

Like the 1st series - every figure comes with a round pedestal -

Some of the color variants are basically the same - so I took only those that are evidently different -

All ( except for the Allosaurus ) lined up :

And on the shelf :

The new look of that obscure minis shelf :
