Looked good to me.

I find it odd the multi-armed deity in the voice over seems to be lying there crushed and broken by the Big G himself..as if he has defeated death itself...muahahahha ! ;D

brandem

love the Oppenheimer quote, tying Godzilla back into being a product of man, movie could go either way but that's a pretty great trailer.

amargasaurus cazaui

I know godzilla has changed alot over the years and there have been many takes on the big guy, but i was wondering.....what size is he actually supposed to be...in height? Are we talking about something 85 feet tall or 850 feet high? I was trying to get  a feel for that....thoughts?
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

brandem

well I think the showa godzilla was like 50 meters while the millinia godzilla was like 100 meters

Blade-of-the-Moon

Can't believe no one has posted up the new trailer yet , looks pretty awesome ! :

"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Gwangi

I was just about to do that myself. Certainly among my most anticipated films of this year.

Blade-of-the-Moon

We also have this :

I thought there was a media blackout on the Big G's new look til March 17 but maybe this mag got ahead of itself ?

SpartanSquat

Its EPIC! I like the way that they portrayed this godzilla based in the first movie, one of my favourite kaiju movies along with Ridan, The Host and Pacific Rim

Dang, that's the first Godzilla movie that I'm actually excited to see in - well, almost 40 years! A little reminiscent of Cloverfield - without the maddening camera shaking.

CityRaptor

Cloverfield was terrible. Such an overhyped movie. Horrible camera, boring characters, and a buttugly monster, that is barely seen ( probabaly for the better, given how ugly it is ).

This movie on the other hand looks promising.

Also a new Snickers Commercial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bpwmiuwjLo
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Blade-of-the-Moon

lol love that commercial. Cool they used the 54' Godzilla.

ProSauropod

If anyone is around NYC April 18 - 24 the original Godzilla will be screened at Film Forum :  http://www.filmforum.org/movies/more/godzilla

Despite the stupid things that had Godzilla. I consider the Heisei era movies and the first one as my favourite Godzilla movies!

Here is a big spoiler! The Muto monsters were revealed by the toys!

Blade-of-the-Moon

Wow, good link !  Figure pics, back story details..LOVE it !

The Mutos are sort of insect looking..but I love the back story..sounds VERY  traditional " Godzilla " film.

SpartanSquat

Thanks mate!
For me the Mutos are Cloverfield cousins! At least will be a true american godzilla instead the emmerich movie...
