Wild Safari Psittacosaurus, reviewed by our resident expert:
http://dinotoyblog.com/2017/05/07/psittacosaurus-wild-safari-by-safari-ltd/

Great figure and great review! :D My only problem with this figure is that is has some difficulty keeping balance, especially when the feet are a bit warped (which seems to be a common problem in Safari's figures lately). Still looks great in any collection!

Geoworld Spinosaurus:
http://dinotoyblog.com/2017/05/03/spinosaurus-jurassic-hunters-by-geoworld/

Are there any recent studies that agree that Spino had a camel hump rather than a skin and bone sail? I thought the hump idea was wastebinned a while ago.

Hardly wastbinned, but rather deemed much less likely. That being said this spiderweb design everyone's using is far worse. The Ibrahim paper proclaims rather defiantly that it should be shrinkwrapped because some of them taper at the tip rather than fan outwards (as we see in bison, rhinoceros, and Ouranhosaurus), but that doesn't mean we should be able to see the vertebrae columns! All it means is that a large fatty hump like a bison is unlikely, but they should still be well muscled and thick. The Favorite version 1 soft model Spinosaurus has the best example of the sail done correctly.

Especially the Favorite dinosaurs I love. You can choose between the resin models (the most expensive ones I have), those of PVC Soft Modell that incidentally are large figures, Museum models (these figures are unfortunately limited) and vinyl figures (very soft plastic like Recur).

It is truly a shame that Favorite products are not marketed in Europe. I suppose it will be because of the high competition of other brands.

Livyatan is yet another magnificent prehistoric beast more than deserving of love from the likes of CollectA, Safari, and the other companies.

Diramix Livyatan: http://dinotoyblog.com/2017/05/08/livyatan-mega-abissi-by-diramix/

I got all excited when I saw "Livyatitan", and then I saw this goofy thing. I should have known based on the company... Oh well. Maybe someone else will give this exciting taxon a shot.

Ha ha, sorry to disappoint.

But at least they are very different. You got Moby Dick, Nessie and Zoidberg.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Wouldn't the biggest Anom be the Favorite soft version? That thing takes up half my shelf!

I personally regard Playmobil as an excellent toy, thanks for a great review!

Shonisaurus

Playmovil has its beauty. Although it seems (and in fact one hundred percent is) that is aimed at children, it must be recognized that it is an educational toy that exceeds the expectations of other educational toys seem more serious more. Playmovil has educated for tens of years millions of children from all over the world and I think the revision made of this figure and everything related to this company seems very good.

Playmovil extends as Lego to a multitude of themes from science, art, history, technology and paleontology. They are perhaps the most complete toys for children made so far and this company like almost everything in life has improved year after year the quality of its products. Although by my age I am not a fan or collector of Playmovil (in my childhood forty years ago) they are quite creative toys and as I say quite complete and that mainly serve for the entertainment of the little ones. All Playmovil reviews are welcome.
