Guest review of new Scheich Tricertaops, by Philsauria (a first guest review from him - thanks!): http://dinotoyblog.com/2018/01/29/triceratops-conquering-the-earth-by-schleich/

Good review, I was waiting for that one too. Now we miss the Psittacosaurus and the Oviraptor from the new Schleichs, right? On the Triceratops, the more I see it the more I think it's a lovely figure, beautiful detail and sober but still attractive colours. Well done Schleich.

Last week I saw it in real life for the first time.  And it looks better than on any picture I have seen of it.

Great first review, with top-notch photos!
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Until very recently I used to get an e-mail for each newly posted review.  This has stopped.  I didn't unsubscribe as far as I know.  Is it a change in how the blog review is set up?

Yes, that functionality was provided by a plugin called jetpack, which I deactivated a week or so ago, because it was making the blog too slow for my liking. I can activate it again, I might just have to compromise on site speed.

I think on balance site speed is the more desirable choice, as there are other ways of checking what has been posted.  Thanks!

Beasts of the Mesozoic desert pack with Mononykus:
http://dinotoyblog.com/2018/01/31/desert-environment-accessory-pack-with-mononykus-beasts-of-the-mesozoic-raptor-series-by-creative-beast-studio/

Nice review! I hope you don't mind that I've updated the title so that the genus name is up front (even though it isn't in the official wording). I took this liberty in the previous Beasts of the Mesozoic pack review, too, because many Dinotoyblog pages (e.g Contents) filter alphabetically by the first letter in the review. Really, the dinosaur is the main attraction anyway.

I'm still testing things out, so I'll see. :)  Another Jetpack feature is the Related Posts section at the bottom of each review, which you may have noticed has gone missing. If I decide that Jetpack doesn't severely impact speed then there's no harm reactivating it.

Thanks, and I don't mind a bit! I didn't think of that aspect when I titled it.

The Mononykus' lower jaw seems very badly warped.

It's a little hard to tell, but I think the lower jaw is fine on my copy. It's the upper jaw that's warped.

You're right, it's the upper one that's warped, I did confuse the two.

A more focussed photo would be nice, so that readers can appreciate Jetoar's art :)

Sure. If someone has one we could use I'll update the review.

I cannot provide one, sorry... but I guess the author can, after all, the second one is sharp :)
