They do look like fun sets, I think I saw the mammoth shelter at Toys R Us in the past year.  A shame I didn't pay much attention to them until I started reading your reviews.  Oh well, the journey is what its all about.

A proper review of the Carnegie Tanystropheus to replace the old single paragraph placeholder reviews.

base is a disappointment for me, it reduces the playability :-\      prototype was great

The prototype may have looked great, but according to a video Minizoo posted awhile back, it had stability issues. I'd much rather have a base-mounted T. rex that stands tall and proud and impervious to vibration, breeze, slight touch, or hard stare than one that topples over instantly due to any of those factors.

It took me a long time to set up the one comparison shot between Firestreak and the Papo Running Rex, simply because the latter kept falling over. Urgh.

I agree. I also prefer a figure that can stand safely over one to play with.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I don't play with my collection so 99.9% of the time they're sitting on a shelf. I have no issue with bases!

The basis on collecta figures are fixed on so they don't come off

Agree completely with the base thing. Great review, btw.
I need to get back into reviewing figures ^-^

Some of the sets are still available at Playmobil.com. I ordered the sabertooths earlier this week. :)

That would be most welcome, I always enjoy your take on figures.

By the way, keep up the good work guys, it is a delight to see so many regular reviews and I've noticed an increase in blog traffic recently, which must be partly due to all the new content. It is probably the busiest it has ever been in terms or blog activity and visitors. You are keeping me on my toes with social media engagement because each time a new review is posted, I share it on Facebook, Twitter, etc.  8)

It's a pleasure. I'd been following the DTB for years, I wish now that I'd started submitting reviews sooner. Ah well.
