base is a disappointment for me, it reduces the playability       prototype was great

The prototype may have looked great, but according to a video Minizoo posted awhile back, it had stability issues. I'd much rather have a base-mounted T. rex that stands tall and proud and impervious to vibration, breeze, slight touch, or hard stare than one that topples over instantly due to any of those factors.

It took me a long time to set up the one comparison shot between Firestreak and the Papo Running Rex, simply because the latter kept falling over. Urgh.

I agree. I also prefer a figure that can stand safely over one to play with.

I don't play with my collection so 99.9% of the time they're sitting on a shelf. I have no issue with bases!

The basis on collecta figures are fixed on so they don't come off

By the way, keep up the good work guys, it is a delight to see so many regular reviews and I've noticed an increase in blog traffic recently, which must be partly due to all the new content. It is probably the busiest it has ever been in terms or blog activity and visitors. You are keeping me on my toes with social media engagement because each time a new review is posted, I share it on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
