I have tried, for the better part of the last hour to put this leg in it's place -
and for no avail.
Anyone has some advise ?
Is there any important relevant information written on the Japanese instruction sheet ?
Thanks

Have you tried hot water or hairdryer? You need to soften the plastic first.

BrontoScorpio

Tried some Steam from the kettle on both parts.

I had the same problem with the 1933 King Kong T. rex from X-plus. What I ended up doing was soaking it in hot water and then using a dull knife to gently push and pry the pieces together.

Did it work? Did it stay hard or soften? I use a kettle to boil the water. You need to get it soft and almost floppy (no sniggering C:-)).

Thanks for asking.
I went swimming yesterday, but, today I will try :
- I'll put the body in the fridge - to make it harder so it wont bend inwards when applying pressure.
- I'll put the leg in hot water - so it could squiz into the hole.

Hopefully it'll work ....

No - it did not.
I'll pass it on to the Engineering department at work -
They have some intimidating tools -
see if they manage it without melting the figure alltogether ... :)

acro-man

take a pair of scissors.
cut one or two seams on the hole from inside.
now insert the leg with full strength.
the hole will be enlarged because of the small seam, then it fits in.

Success !!!

I gave it to one of our Engineers, with warns not to ruin the D' thing :
Apparently he took a 'Japanese' knife and widened the hole ...

ceratopsian

I'm pleased to hear you have solved the problem.

Jetdin

wow the figure looks quite similar to the Sega T-rex

Well,
There is something similar in the pose , color , material and size that caught my eyes too -
That is why they share the same shelve :

However, you might notice that the V-rex is a meer Action figure whereas the Sega is truely a copy of a wonderful SHINZEN's sculpt.
I think the Sega knows it too - hence the anger in which it receives the X-plus newcomer  ... :)
Infact, come to think of it, neither of them like each other ...
