Something new after ... over a month of artistic inactivity. Tarbosaurus Bataar chasing a sub adult Saurolophus Angustirostris:

Very cool! I'm glad you're posting again.

Practice makes perfect though right?  I like to go outside and practice sketching real live ginkgos and conifers.

Ah...sometimes I hate living in a big mediterranean city. That kind of vegetation isn't easy to find.

Anyway..time for another update: the Archaeopteryx is sort of finished.

Sweet bud. The whole composition really works here. :)

Arioch

Heh...thanks! Here's a revised and more accurate version of the picture, based on some expert advice: http://th02.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2012/195/6/b/archaeopteryx_litographica_by_durbed-d56wmo3.jpg     . Not sure if regardless of accuracy is looking better though...

Another collab with the deviant artist pilsator.... I revamped  (as an attempt to show how I think the tail should bend more naturally) and painted his Achillobator:

Pilsators original black and white drawing:

Beautiful. I like the tail modification too.

Thanks Niroot!

New stuff! Edmontosaurus regalis teaching some manners to an albertosaur.

Yutyrannus

Very cool! I'm glad it doesn't show hadrosaurs as no more than tyrannosaur food :). Also I wanted to say that this picture you posted on the old forum reminds me of the Nazgul from Lord of the Rings!

Uh, It's been centuries since I last posted here. Sorry for that, I've been away from any paleo business for months and my current schedule doesn't allow me to post in many forums and draw or even read a lot.

Anyway, here's what I've been churning out lately:

Apatosaurus louisiae:

Pelecanimimus & Concavenator:

A small flock of microraptors looking for food:

Acrocanthosaurus carrying a young tenontosaurus away from two sneaky Deinonychus (some of you migh notice that its a revamped old sketch).

Jetoar

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Welcome back Arioch! ;D

As always, these look fantastic!  I especially like the Concavenator and Pelecanimimus.

Patrx

Good to see some new stuff from you! I really like the Microraptor, the feather detail on those is very nice.

DinoToyForum

Great new work Arioch, I especially like the Acrocanthosaurus.

Gryphoceratops

Welcome back!  I like how you are doing more background work.  Really fills out your pieces!

Not sure how I missed this thread for so long, Great work, I like your drawing style and colour splashes you use on head crests/frills etc. I may have missed this along the line but what do you draw and colour with? pencil/Ink ?
