Halichoeres

Meet Psittacosaurus amitabha, a new species in the already species-rich genus. It's one of the larger ones, and was named after a buddha revered in Mongolia where it was found.

A really nice skull!


And the results of their phylogenetic analysis, which doesn't include every species but at least serves as evidence that this specimen isn't identical with P. major which is roughly the same size:

Very nice discovery!  I like that Psittacosaurus has gone from a relatively obscure dinosaur to now one of the best known and most speciose.
