Hello! I technically joined the forum quite a long time ago, however for whatever reason I never really went on it after that. Rather recently I "rediscovered" the forum and I decided to edit my profile and give this another shot! Hopefully this time I can participate a little more. Other than that, i'm probably pretty similar to the rest of you guys. I have a passion for animals and prehistoric life (obviously), I love collecting figures of said things (obviously), and hope to one day work in the field of paleontology (as do many others here I would assume). So yeah, thats me I guess! (Fun fact, I was the very first person, other than those involved in the actual presentation, to actually step foot in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History's time hall when it was unveiled, as well as being the very first in line for it, so that was pretty cool.)

Welcome back! Congrats on being first through the NMNH doors; last time I was in DC it wasn't open yet.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I have only been a member of this Forum for about three years now, though I was a 'lurker' for about a year before that since discovering it, and even in that time I have seen a few members come and go.

At this moment in time I am considering taking a break myself in the wake of what seems to be an increase in the level of negativity and unnecessarily harsh and sarcastic criticism in regard to many of the new releases. Not what I signed up for. You'd think as collectors people would be more appreciative of the sheer volume of options available to us at the moment! I have not commented much lately, not wanting to get caught up in any crossfire!!

Just putting my observations out there for what they're worth. Maybe I'll jump over to the extant animals forum and see what the climate is like over there as these form another of my collections.

I do very much regret when a member leaves because of the sometimes offputting styles of Communication here. It is a cancer in the whole internet nowadays and I do not want it here. Thus we must not leave because of a few cynics and haters.
