Seems like the Nanmu Ceratosaurus is a go.
Here's a post on Facebook from LanaTimeShop:

JP3 style paint job, looking good.

No, you don't need a FB account to see it and I'm not even going to try to embed the one image because it's useless these days with the changing URLs.

And a close look to its head:

According to Lana, there is another painted version in the works.

That might not be the head of the running figure, but just the head bust, like they do for all the full figure releases, in a larger scale.

Yes ok, but we can expect the same paint work on the running figure.

Edit:

I was mistaken, this overall color scheme seems quite faithfull to the KP3 one.

Was posted in the dino collector group in FB.

Phew that is looking amazing. Glad I pre-ordered! Hope the buck is just as good.

What do you think about Ceratosaurus' head shape? Personally, I can't help but think it's too Tyrannosaur-like.

Not much of a surprise. It's based on the JPIII Ceratosaurus, whose CGI model in turn is a modified Tyrannosaurus one.

A common fan theory is that T.rex-DNA was used to fill in some gaps.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

To me, aside from the color, it doesn't look anything like the JP3 one.  Which as you said they modified the cg file to get a Cerato from a Rex.

I think Nanmu should stick to straight up JP/JW figures they have files for or get a good artist on the payroll.

I definitely want to see more/better pictures of that darker color scheme.

More photos of the new JP rex... figure is apparently shipping now, LanaTime is fulfilling orders...

KeU

Paint application looks good.
Or is this still the paint sample?

Mine actually moved a few days ago... sat in China for two months, then all of a sudden passing through ISC in Los Angeles...

At this point I would actually pay for faster shipping if it were offered for piece of mind

Nanmu teases their Giganotosaurus...

... and apparently decapitation is the newest trend in dinosaur models...

KeU

I wonder if that means their Giganotosaurus will need the base to stand. Like the Allosaurus and Ceratosaurus.
