Not an identification per se, but does anyone know about the Land of the Lost toys?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-Land-of-The-Lost-2-5-Triceratops-Dinosaur-Figure-Krofft-Tiger/124416063902

That's clearly a ripoff, official or otherwise, of the Definitely Dinosaurs Triceratops. I didn't see any information about a Land of the Lost Triceratops toy from Googling it.

Halichoeres

There was a line of action figures by Tiger Electronics/Tiger Toys, before they were absorbed by Hasbro. There were action figures of the main characters, a caveman, and one of those reptile alien creatures, all of which I think were original. I think all the small dinosaurs were reused. I believe the DD Anatosaurus was resold as Muttaburrasaurus. There was a large Tyrannosaurus, but I don't think it's the same mold(s) as the DD large Tyrannosaurus.

Has anyone seen this before? The eBay seller lists it as Imperial. It looks like a Spinosaurid to me, but I don't think I've ever seen it before. They want $15 for it, so I'm not going to buy it just to find out. You can though. https://www.ebay.com/i/124441460822?ul_noapp=true

Newt

I've never seen this one. [/size]It looks like it's contemporary with my Imperials (from the 80s) and so probably predates any decent spinosaurid cranial material (and besides, Imperial was never known for scientific rigor). I would guess it's meant to represent a "coelurosaur" (as the term was understood at that time), maybe Coelophysis.

Halichoeres

The head almost recalls Velociraptor. if not that, I think Coelophysis is a good guess, although there was another Imperial Coelophysis that looked nothing like this.

Anyone know what the dinosaur at the back is/who made it?

Halichoeres

D @Wwd.E4.1:57 I'm not sure but I think it could be the Velociraptor from Disney Animal Kingdom.

Can anyone ID the middle one? I'm assume the left and right are Carnegie and AAA, respectively

Even the middle one is from AAA/ELC (or a bootleg from AAA).

But doesn´t it look a little different from the one shown on the Dinosaur Collector Site?

It is actually a Toy Major Dimetrodon. I'm pretty sure its belly stamp say TM inside a small oval shape.

Edit: Checked! IT does in fact have an oblong TM oval!

Halichoeres

Those are interesting. I've never seen them before, but they look to be Eryops or something similar.

Very interesting. Probably Eryops. But no clue about the company whatsoever.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres avatar_Libraraptor @Libraraptor Thank you!

they're not available anymore... maybe a DTF member bought them and we'll know more about them.

Actually I'm not able to figure out
when they were made,
what they were intended to be (toys? figures for a diorama?...),
where they were displayed (an exhibition or a museum? a garden? a private collection?),
if they were "mass-produced" or part of a line including other figures...
so many mysteries!

Halichoeres

To me they look like one-offs. I would be surprised to learn that they were ever mass-produced. Maybe a diorama for a small museum? But of course I can only speculate.
