Well there was an article on Chinese dinosaur brands in the last issue, heavily featuring PNSO and very favourably too. As they become more prominent and available in the US, l'm sure they'll clock up more votes among the readers.

Worth remembering that the PT readership is older in the main than on here, many still look at Collecta as a new-ish brand!
Ah, that plausibly explains the preponderance of Safari and CollectA winners (not that that's necessarily a bad thing).

I don't see anything wrong with their pick though.  It was not only as good as anything else, but it was the first of its kind and so well done.

Well, there is also the fact that when PT poll comes out, most only Safari's new releases are known.
PNSO and others don't release their lineup until they are already out.
If the poll is conducted much later I'm sure we will see companies like PNSO and Eofauna make the list😃

Seems to me that PT should adjust the timing of their poll so as to capture a wider range of voting choices. The current approach appears insular, IMO.

Not sure about that, the poll is meant to be for the year just gone, so makes sense that it's run at the end of the year with results announced in the first issue of the New Year.

Wouldn't changing the timing mean that, for example, 2021 releases get included in the 2020 poll?

Quite right, 2021 releases shouldn't be included in a poll for 2020, for sure. My concern is that late 2020 releases from , say, PNSO, wouldn't get considered if the poll was done more or less simultaneously as these releases. So, how about delaying the poll somewhat till all of the 2020 releases had occurred?

It's a quarterly magazine though, so operating on a much slower time scale than Forums. You could try asking the editor?

At the end of the day, that's probably the best suggestion - thanks.
