I wonder if being official licensors gets them access to production assets, like cgi models, etc... are we about to see really screen accurate JP/W dinosauria from W-D?

This.  This is the only way I see their products being superior. I've found them in the past to be poor on paint apps and detail.

W-dragon has been licensed by Universal Pictures to begin production of JP JW-licensed products in 2021.

Holy shoot! That's amazing!!!!
Is this what these companies were officially after? Like Nanmu and Rebor for instance would also be trying to obtain this?
I'm so glad! The figures are about to become a whole new level of accurate.

My Nanmu mosasaurus continues in customs, therefore if the giganotosaurus is marketed in October, let's say three more months from when you buy it .... In January you get the figures. Patience is a gift that life gives you, it is bitter at first but very sweet fruits are obtained.

I need to have patienece, tips on how i could get it, because i trust you as a very patient guy, and also im asking here because when i search on internet, its says hippie stuff like "breath in and out slowly" Thats does not work at all. If youre a guy like me in quartine, you cant do much so you are just left with thoughts, which are almost always negative, so i resort to eating, but i must conserve snacks that calm me down, so i go to my dogs, which i dont wish to awake or annoy because they are mostly awake at night, making sure our house is safe. Then i go on the web, but i realize i should be more cautious about my eyes and brain.  So i try to exercise, or maybe do some cleaning. While i do these things besides go to the web like right now, i just have very impatient thoughts ranging from "Will i ever get a papo  limited spinosaurus in time" to "Is Heaven real". Not to mention my mind is full of things id pay to forget.

Sorry, back to topic. I really like this giganotosaurus and giraffatitan, and i really like how the giga is a real animals skeleton inside a video game beast. Nice.

Wan Long Teng's giganotosaurus and brachiosaurus look even better than the resin figures. The combination of resin and PVC on the part of the W-Dragon brand figures makes that company a superior company to the rest of the high-quality collectible / toy dinosaur brands, although I have not bought any figure of that brand, I recognize the brilliance and totally outstanding quality of its figures.

I dont think that was their main objective originally, they just made JP copies to get recognition in the collector market quickly. But the fact that they have managed to get Universal´s attention means something.

My guess is that Universal decided: Hey, some companies are making profit by making figures based on our franchise, we should take advantage and be a part of it. This also means that Universal has realized that there are collectors who want Jurassic Park collectibles that are more "premium" than Mattel´s toys but not as "premium" as statues from prime1 studio or chronicle collectibles.

I get why some are excited about the news that WLT will be making licensed products, but to me it's actually a real bummer. I preordered the Giraffatitan specifically because it corrected the out-of-date or outright erroneous choices of the JP Brachiosaurus design (feet, nostrils) and gave it a nicer color scheme. If they're doing licensed products, they'll be more screen-accurate and less animal-accurate. For that reason, I would rather have seen the license go to Nanmu, for example, which is already doing the moderately high-end JP/JW stuff and which I can therefore safely ignore.

Doesnt mean JP/JW items is all they will make.  I ignored that Giraffititan because it looked way too much like a copy of the Tamiya one.

Look what I just found behind my door (sorry for the pictures, just quickly borrowed someone else phone):

Absolutely beautifull, and it's so big.
I knew it'd be that high, but it's also quite long.
Great sculpt and simple but effective pose (although I knew it just look lile the Tamiya, but I don't care), great paint job, and perfect quality control from W-Dragon: not a single paint flaw or paint rub anywhere.
Impressive package from W-Dragon / Lanatimeshop, it was very well protected.

Shipped via EMS, took only 2 weeks to reach me, while my Nanmu Rex sent with regular chinese post has been stuck in shippment hell for about 2 months.
From now on only EMS, even if I have to pay more.

Shonisaurus

Magnificent brachiosaurus! and most importantly, it is large and solid made of PVC and vinyl resin and in one piece! W-Dragon is making very well finished figures of giant sauropds with an acceptable size. Hopefully the rest of the toy dinosaur brands end up imitating W-Dragon when it comes to their sauropods even though they are JP / JW dinosaurs.

I have the Tamiya Brachiosaurus, but it does not look like this W-Dragon one in many respects. I really think it is beautiful, and I want to buy it, but only at a lower price when the economic recession gets really going (which I hope it will not, but when there is a recession, it is good to buy more stuff anyway, which I probably will be doing, to help out the small companies that need our support more than ever to survive.)

I don't have a Tamiya, but as I heard, seems like that one only comes with kits and it's up to buyer to assembly and paint the figure themselves, right? (or it's another edition for painter?).

About the price of W-Dragon Brachiosaurus (called Giraffatitan in some stores), it's a bit weird for me to know that this particular figure has the price raise up quite higher than other W-dragon figures by many resellers. I lately got a preorder slot of this one from a reseller in my country (Asian country next to China) because original guy who preordered it went out the country for long time and left the slot for others. So I don't know if it'd violate some forum policy or not, but the price of this figure is about 61-65$ in this store for preordering. After checking and search all over internet, I found out that the lowest price from popular online store/seller is about 75-79$ + shipping fee. Even there're 2 different stores in Aliexpress with 118$, and 112$ (with different shipping for each). For W-dragon other figures, seem the price not so far the original, but for some reasons this one, many resellers decided to blow it up quite a lot. The Aliexpress 1st deal (with the ship cost for it) would be 2x the original price.

I really don't know about that.
I know I bought it to Lana on Ebay for 80 dollars, same price as Nanmu Rex.

Yeah, the online store with 75-79.9$ I mentioned is Lana. They have a Ebay store with few $ higher price but more safe for some buyers. Anyway Lana sold out already (maybe there's a 2nd release at Dec 2020...). Next one in the price line might be the Dan's one with 100$ price. And other stores seems higher and higher (like Aliexpress...).

When I first saw this one on Aliexpress, the price is 118$ and 18$ (or something similar not clearly remember) shipping. I decide to not buy it. But after some searching around, I found out maybe Aliexpress was the online store with highest price at that point, other stores not so much. And then I got the deal with my local reseller, and he gave me price ~61$ (price in our curency convert roughly to USD), that's also the price he set on his web (a local Asian web, not international one), then I decide to buy (if it was 118$ I'd very much not buy it or wait for a long time to rethink about that). Felt a bit lucky because seems like around the world, the price of this one tends to raise above my range. Nanmu T-Rex was listed ~54$, Nanmu Mosasaurus ~57$, Nanmu Spinosaurus ~63$...

I can see some resemblance, but even if I had the Tamiya I'd probably still rather have the W-Dragon because it's more up-to-date. But of course you and I collect very differently.

Anyway, I hope that they keep making non-JP/JW stuff, but I'm not optimistic.

Honestly I've become tempted by the Giraffatitan. But, is it all that up to date? I don't know, it's just the neck seems a little retro to me, but I could be wrong.
