I was wrong, it looks quite close to it, just a bit more blueish.

This W-Dragon giganotosaurus looks spectacular and the price of said figure is quite affordable considering the category of sculpture and material that is the W-Dragon giganotosaurus. Nice shape!

I'm waiting for it to be available on Lana's shop on Ebay, it isn't yet I guess ?

Dan's Dinosaurs just updated, literally moments ago, with a placeholder page for the W-Dragon Giganotosaurus... no price, no pics, just the cryptic message "Details forthcoming. Preorder pricing available for a limited time"...

Dan's is the only on that I've found that does the preorders.

avatar_mgaguilar @mgaguilar and avatar_SenSx @SenSx I do not have the slightest inconvenience in the figure is made of resin I have the Favorite dinosaur figures of resin and the kosmoceratops of Jetoar, but in case of buying more resin dinosaur figures it would suppose an additional cost I would have to buy showcases that my economy does not can be allowed. Of course I like resin figures much more than PVC or vinyl! The problems I would have would be mainly the space that I would not have, since I know from experience that these figures need a looser space to avoid breakage. and on the other hand, except for W-Dragon or other brands, the vast majority of resin figures cost a fortune than my pockets, especially in times of crisis that is coming I can not afford or remotely.

PVC figures can be placed in a much less baggy way without causing strong breaks and abrasions and the price is much cheaper compared to resin figures. But honestly I like resin figures more than dinosaurs of another cheaper material, but for the specified reasons unfortunately I cannot get into the "adventure" of buying resin figures that are usually of much better quality.   :(

That is one of the reasons why I always ask if the figure / figures in question are made of resin or PVC.

Thanks for the clarification! I've just had so many large theropods lose their ability to stand due to the PVC warping, it's kind of nice to see that kind of innovation happening.
But all PVC will be nice with this figure either way. So excited!

I might upset some people by saying this, but I think the production value of this figure is much higher than Eofauna's, unfortunately due to its lackluster paintjob.

It'll probably be around twice the price, so I'd hope it'd be.

For peopel interested, I contacted La-na-time-shop on Ebay who told me he won't have the W-Dragon Giganotosaurus available for preorder, and won't sell it at the moment.
They stopped selling new W-Dragon figures for now, so he was sorry but people planning to buy that giganotosaurus should find it somewhere else.

What a beautiful giganotosaurus by W-Dragon! Magnificent figure. It is better by far than other figures of other brands of the same dinosaur that have come out this year by far to my regret and you know which figure I mean.

postsaurischian

:D Impressive! A very nice Dinosaur figure for sure. Just as the Giraffatitan. W-Dragon is doing a great job!

W-Dragon on Facebook regarding their design approach for the new Giganotosaurus.
W-Dragon PVC Series Model Six---1/35Giganotosaurus: God of Destruction
Humans have an inherent interest in monstrous beasts. In pop culture, the Tyrannosaurus is undoubtedly considered the king of dinosaurs. During the Cretaceous Period in South America, however, the world witnessed another kind of dinosaur that was larger and more ferocious than the Tyrannosaurus, and its name is Giganotosaurus.
Only 27 years have passed since the Giganotosaurus was discovered, and it cannot compete with the Tyrannosaurus in popularity (as expressed in research, literature, or the entertainment industry). We believe the unique potential of the Giganotosaurus has not been fully explored. Something remarkable can be designed and created based upon it.
The reconstruction of ancient creatures should be based on fossils. We have limited literature on the skull of the Giganotosaurus, though various models of its skull are available. This model is based on the skull of the long-headed Giganotosaurus as reconstructed by Coria. We chose her reconstruction partly because of its classicism and popularity, but also because the reconstructed maxilla has an amazing raised arc. We make a slight change to the soft tissue around this arc by adding a wrinkle, which forms a crazy smiling face. With that, it seems that this monster with an enormous head and a large mouth is laughing wildly!
We also drew inspiration from the body of the Giganotosaurus. It has a uniquely arched back, where a bent angle is formed on the spinous process close to cervical spine, making it looks like a humpback. This reminds us of the humped upper back of the ferocious Godzilla (2001). We hope our Giganotosaurus model reflects Godzilla's menacing tone. To make it resemble Godzilla, one of its eyes is blind as though he lost a fierce fight, leaving it with a white rolling eyeball and a large and ugly scar on its face.
Use of keratin on the model's head makes it look like the Giganotosaurus from Dino Crisis. The keratin only produces small thorns, yet with a new arrangement, or a new style, they are changed into a pileum, or even a crown. By adding a horn with keratin on the tip of its nose, a "devil appearance" is produced. Many reptiles, such as horned lizards, have similarly large horns, which lay a realistic foundation for how we have reconstructed our pileum.
With its fire-like skin, strong body, hideous expression, sharp crown, terrifying scar, death-white eye, big head, and abyss-like throat, our model of the Giganotosaurus appears greedy and terrifying---such a bold and crazy design!
The completion of our reconstruction of the Giganotosaurus has led us to reflect on its appearance. This model might look exaggerated, but those bold thoughts are based on unique skeletal characteristics that have been discovered by scientists. Science does not pose limitations to art; it is a key to open a world of inspiration. Only by respecting science as well as seeking and appreciating the characteristics of ancient animals can we reconstruct a wonderful and colorful ancient world; otherwise, our reconstruction may turn into a mediocre and dull imitation.
Model Dimension: 38.5 cm (length) x 14 cm (height)
Colored box included
Introduction Card
Base
PS: Poured with solid PVC and a built-in ABS skeleton, the model's legs are not prone to softening or deformity. They allow it to stand up independently without the base and can prevent the model from falling.

And 1 more new pic
