The basic part of my collection is displayed in and on an old wooden cabinet. I can´t afford big shelves in many rooms anymore, because two children demand their space. I will sell many of my chinasaur stuff this year, also including  figures such as AAA. My collecting style has been degenerating a little, mercyfully giving each and every random chinasaur a refugee. This costs space and time. I don´t want to sound arrogant, but basically I´d like to establish a more concentrated and more specific style for me.

My collection thread will thus  focus not on the bulk, as it sometimes did in the past, but more on the highlights of my collection I´d like to introduce to you with a pic ans a small text. This will not replace my work for the blog, but rather complete it, for here I´m not  bound to a specific style.

Describing my collection with a few words could sound:

Accident great finds with interesting stories behind them, oddities, monochrome plastic, Bullyland, vintage, Kaiyodo, terror birds.

One question, what is that cute hadrosaur in the second picture?
Thanks in advance

Yes but this is an English speaking Forum so it is a matter of respect and transparency to communicate in English.  In the PM section we can write each other in German by me.

No I just meant that you do not have to put words like ,,Schloss" in apostraphys(do npt know how to pronounce it).
I always hear of PM and I dont know what it means or is, could you help me?

Thanks for dropping in everybody and thanks for leaving some kind words! Schleich Brontosaurus, Playskool Brontosaurus, Steiff Triceratops Baby "Piccy, two Ornithomimids of unknown companies

Lanthanotus

Aww, that good ol' Schleich Brontosaurus... had this as a kid (next to the "tyrant"), but I never guessed right what both were in terms of species it seems :D

How old is that Schleich Brontosaurus?

CityRaptor

The mold is from 1979, but this version ( the original was orange, or in rare cases blue and only the eyes were painted ) is from the early 90s. The exact species is not named, as the name is Ursaurier, but it usually gets either identified as Brontosaurus or Diplodocus.  Oddly enough, there is an even smaller Ursaurier that looks more like Plateosaurus.

Found them! They look kinda cute, almost like cartoonized versions of Invictas. Didn't know that the earliest Schleich prehistoric figures were so old, and to think that these were sold up until the 90s is funny.

CityRaptor

The Schleich Minis are even older, being from the 60s and were also still sold in the 90s.

What animal the #10019 is supposed to be? A sort of prehistoric snake?

CityRaptor

It's called Riesenschlange, which means giant snake. So yeah, it's some kind of snake. The guys as ToyAnimal.info think it's a Boa Constrictor.

An ante litteram Titanoboa.

Given that the figure was made in the 60s, I think Dinylisia would be more likely. But then again, it could just be a Boa constrictor, given that the prehistoric Schleich Minis and Classics are not exactly properly identified.

Also, sorry that we hijacked your thread, Libraraptor.

Wow, I did not know they went back that far!

First off,  you don't need to apologize for "hijacking" my thread.  I am happy to be host to discussions like these.  Secondly,  since Schleich's Microtiere include many recent animals, I don't even think their snake was meant to be prehistoric.  As a third, here are my other small Schleichs including a quite decent Mammoth:

And the different Series are not to be confused.  There are the little ones shown above and the micro ones that Boa belong to. I will Post Pictures of the ones I have after Work.
