I would say that the old one got slightly better hidden seams, but color-wise I actually prefer the new one. The fact that it is a lot cheaper to aquire also plays into it.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Thanks for the photos Teddybier, and welcome back!
It's sad to hear that the quality of the new Brown T-Rex is worst than the one of it's predecessor. Thanks for the information!

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

It's a pity that the quality went down with the years. It's a bit comparable with the two pachy's shown in the 'Papo new for 2019' thread, if I remember correctly. The under side of the dinosaur also seems to be just the plastic, not even painted.
But I do agree with you guys, I wouldn't have bought the 2012 version if I new back then that it would be released in 2019
