2000!Yes! Here we go!

We now have more or less twice as many members as DTF version 1 had. It seems like yesterday that I launched version 2 on its own domain. :)

what happened to the old sight?
If you wonder where I'm active now, you can find me here- http://www.lustria-online.com/members/lizerd.17772/
It's been a good run here

It's still there, an archive of what once was: http://dinotoyforum.proboards.com
If I could have exported all the content and imported it here, I would have. But I couldn't. So we started from scratch.  ^-^

Kool, this place has an interesting history!

Oh yes,  definitely ;D ^-^

Nice!  Hopefully more members will join the discussions and not just lurk and wait for collection pictures.

oh... wait...

I did that.

Yup, me too, for four years (2012-2016). So there's hope for the "lurkers"!

EarthboundEiniosaurus

Congrats Lizard on being the 2000th member! I've been more of a lurker since I joined in 2014, but I always visit this site at least once a day (often more!) Nice to see we're still going strong!
"Just think about it... Ceratopsids were the Late Cretaceous Laramidian equivalent of todays birds of paradise. And then there's Sinoceratops..."
- Someone, somewhere, probably.

Obviously it's been a bit of a hiatus since the last flurry of posts on this thread. Any sense of where we are at in terms of total members?

Hmm, I didn't realise that... I may change the permission settings so they can.

Yes, that is an impressive number indeed 8) And we can all be proud of that ^-^
However, as is with all forums, many of them unfourtunately are card oaks, single sign-ups or members who have not been active for quite a while - or even some who have left us for good.
On the other hands, many members still join us -  we can be proud of that ^-^
In a blog interview I recently stated that many members enjoy the slow movement here and the "retro-ness" that only forums can provide in times of "info-pollution".

Oh yes, after signing up here last week, I immediately told some friends I signed up for an "oldschool forum" and that it felt quite good. Forums work so differently from social media and I have not used one in quite some time!  ;D

Yeah, an oldschool forum with fresh content daily. A safe space, a virtual "third place" and a stark contrast to the garbage that is thrown at us every day online - While we voluntarily go there. :))
