Checking out the photo on Instagram and FB, I had to look for it on their page it never showed up in my feed even though I follow them. Not a ton of likes/comments unfortunately. One of a couple comments even asked what it was in reference to.  I'm afraid this might be a bit of a deep cut?  A Wesayso logo/product probably would have received more attention? 

I tend to agree that a WeSaySo Earl would probably have been a better variant. Personally I barely remember Captain Impressive (haven't gotten there yet with my rewatch) whereas Earl's WeSaySo outfit appears in almost every episode.

I expect Dinosaurs related posts to get fewer likes than say, a TMNT related post, as there is definitely a much bigger fanbase there.

NECA is known for doing "labors of love" now and then that they don't always (at least, according to them) make a profit on, so maybe this is one of those properties.

Maybe it's something easy? He only has a a few clothing parts but yeah it's an odd choice.

Looks like a new head sculpt, body or clothing, a cape and boots.

I was at least hoping this would be like the Gargoyles series, but there is a much bigger fanbase there too..it helps it has a comic series which was just revived. Dinosaurs needs..more to self sustain.

I've noticed ALF may be a similar property. They release the same figure with new accessories/costumes and it recoups enough I guess.

You already know he would love doing that though. He's already dangerous enough without superpowers, he would probably be able to bully people even he is scared of like Mr. Ashfield and fully take over WeSaySo

I'm sure! They could lean onto superhero territory with a spinoff of that episode lol  He'd need a fast metabolism though what with his tendency to eat anyone in his way.     I keep thinking, why was he not a T-Rex vs Roy? Makes a lot more sense but I love it anyway.

Baby and Earl did it for me, but I certainly would take anything else. Make a B.P with electronic phrases for 60.00 and i'll get him too. " SINCLAIR!!! I'll kill you!!"  lol

That could work. I'm up for it, of course I'll still buy multiples to display them all. lol I'm currently up to two figures per Neca release for my Gargoyles line and Dinosaurs.

You can get a lot of custom accessories for their figures. I've bought a few things for my gremlins..pizza boxes, risque magazines, ect lol Cash is probably pretty simple to get if you want to recreate that scene.

Potentially! Although it would be weird that they teased it so far in advance.

So far the SDCC exclusive reveals from NECA haven't wowed me this year (which is good for my wallet!) but if this ends up being one, I'd be compelled to grab it.

I agree I'd rather it not be an exclusive, but for what it's worth, NECA exclusives are usually made available to non-convention attendees to order from their website at a specific time (I believe for both USA and International customers).

So as long as you can get to the site when the drop happens, you can order the exclusives. Which makes it a bit less difficult.

Welp, looks like Captain Impressive will indeed be an SDCC exclusive.

Are both the heads new sculpts? The unmasked head looks to be the same as the "standard" Earl head from the previous release. The masked head looks similar to the other Earl figure's alternate smiling head, just with a new mask, but looking closer the mouth looks slightly more closed with the teeth pressing together instead of parted.

Apparently a WeSaySo tree-pushing Earl is showing up at Target stores.

It's basically what we envisioned, with a cloth goods outer shirt and a hardhat and lunchbox.
