Quote from: GojiraGuy1954 on June 19, 2024, 11:01:57 PMThough the fact that both heads seem to be new sculpts is cool. Makes me want a "terrified" expression for when we get the work outfit one lol, like the face he makes when he hears B.P. eating the Grapdelites

Are both the heads new sculpts? The unmasked head looks to be the same as the "standard" Earl head from the previous release. The masked head looks similar to the other Earl figure's alternate smiling head, just with a new mask, but looking closer the mouth looks slightly more closed with the teeth pressing together instead of parted.

It might just be different paint with the eyes? His smile looks kinda different to me but idk if thats just because the expression overall was changed slightly

Quote from: Shane on June 20, 2024, 07:11:50 PMApparently a WeSaySo tree-pushing Earl is showing up at Target stores.

It's basically what we envisioned, with a cloth goods outer shirt and a hardhat and lunchbox.

Looks like he has the same beer cans and extra head, but what are these?

The "shifty eyes" were shown on the promo photos for the standard Earl, but the actual figure ended up having forward facing eyes.

Hard to tell, but I'm thinking it might be some critters to go in the lunchbox.

Shane was correct about there being creatures to put in the lunchbox, and the other "accessory" seems to be the extra hands?

I gotta say, I love all of the WeSaySo branding that's plastered all over the boxes of these figures. It really seems in line with how they operate in the show lol

Also, just occured to me, do we have a NECA 2024 thread? If not I could make one for Captain Impressive and the WESAYSO Development Earl

Very excited to add these two to the collection!

Just a heads up if anyone is interested in trying to obtain a Captain Impressive Earl figure,

NECA's online ordering for SDCC exclusive begins at 12 pm EST on thenecastore.com today (6/26) and they will do subsequent drops again on 6/27 and 6/28 at noon. I believe they ship internationally as well.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Ah darn, Missed out today. Guess I'll try tomorrow. On the plus side Captain Impressive must be "impressive" to a lot of collectors to be sold out.

They put a set allotment up each day for the online sale. So it's only "sold out" in terms of how many are allotted each day, which may be a pretty small number of an already limited run of each item.

If you can get on the site around noon, I think you should have a good chance of grabbing Captain Impressive.

I don't think he's prone to sell out as quickly as some others, like the TMNT set. But you still wanna try to order as close to noon as possible.

I'm out running errands today but going to try on my phone. My desktop always has better odds though.

I like em all lol They did actually use the voice cast which is HUGE plus even ones we aren't super familiar with.

I just watched And the Winner is.. episode again. Still funny especially in this political climate..but I did notice Richfield is HUGE compared to Earl. Normally you don't see them in the same room.  If Neca makes him in scale he's gonna be 9 or 10" tall.

I always skip the first one. "I'm the Baby, Gotta Love Me!" has charm imo, but "I'm a Dinosaur" is just kinda annoying. But yeah, the actors doing the singing are really good and them being the same as the ones in the show makes it feel really authentic. Makes me kinda wish they did a special that was a musical at some point.

Baby was the big draw at the time so he got more tracks. They didn't really capitalize on him to the extent of say..Elmo? though. I love all the different the ways they are done, the different music styles. I was singing Poor Slobs to myself as soon as I picked up Earl at Target. I REALLY want Roy and Richfield to make some cool scenes now.

Totally agree. They did one music video for I'm the Baby but that was it. They did do a fairy tale story cassette with a Dinosaurs twist too. Earl reading Baby bedtime stories, it has a radio drama feel as there is a whole episode like story to it. Need to pull that one out and listen to it again.

Was able to find Tree Pusher Earl this weekend as well.

Some interesting points:
- It's the same sculpt (with the same heads) as previous Earl, other than two new sets of hands (with gloves)
- Now that we have the lunch pail and hard hat, we can "recreate" the original Hasbro Earl figure
- The underside of the hard hat is a solid brown area molded to fit on Earl's head. If you watch the show, this is actually how the hard hats look and how they fit on the dinosaurs
