I would have gone nuts for this book when I was younger, especially since there was a time where I really wanted a Cthulhu figure but could never find one.

I have that one, the Magical Creatures, and the Mythical Beasts one --book, figures and games. The games are at best rudimentary, but the figures are ok.

Also have the Gone Extinct, Raging Reptiles and Arctic Chill. These ones at least have all unique sculpts, often very unique figures.

I never had the regular one, but I remember having a kid's version called junior groovies that was more of a kid's storybook. I think the kid's one and the regular one have the same figures, and I believe they used the same molds as the UKRD minis and even a shrunken down Carnegie Spinosaurus!
Edit: I don't know if it's in the kid's one, but the regular one has a reused mold of the mini Battat Styracosaurus!

I remember selling Junior Groovies in the museum store back in the day!

Yeah, their dinos were recasts. It's interesting, since all of the sets that I have are entirely unique
