HAOLONGGOOD - New for 2024

I just emailed Lana Time, and literally 30 seconds later, I had a shipping notification email.  I'm not sure if that was fate, or someone just forgot to click an update box...    (I'll take it though!)

I think what might have happened is that Haolonggood had made an initial estimate of how many copies of each of the three numbered color variants they should produce as the first batch and started production in parallel with the pre-order being opened. Then people started massively requesting the purple special edition that they had not planned to produce as a regular variant at all. So they started producing larger quantities of this and maybe there were more orders for the blue than for the green and brown than what they had estimated. This possibly disturbed their internal logistics and caused some delay in the production of the green and brown variant down the road. It has never happened before that there was an almost two weeks shift in shipping of different color variants, so something obviously did not work out as planned. My suggestion would be that in the future they should announce a product when it is ready to be delivered, along with high-quality photos of the final product. They have always done this with the smaller figures and it works out well.

I dont think they made more then 100-150 of the purple one if that. Lana only got 30 to sell over two batches

Oh I'm sorry I did not know you took those pictures yourself, I thought it was from other social media, I would not have been so rude.
The photos I take are usually horrible, it's just that I still need more renders to make my decision.

I message lanatime asking when my order would be shipped (I paid for shipping Nov. 5th, and right away I got a shipping notification. I'm in the US and chose sea shipping so they said it should come before Dec. 20th. So if anyone's hasn't shipped yet maybe just shoot them an email.

Does anyone know if the Argentinosaurus has a frame inside the figure? At around 5 kilos I wonder if it should be supported despite the 4 huge legs to avoid the figure warping over time.

BTW: From which company is the elephant? I am searching for one ine 1:35 

It's a resin model from Dafei studios in China, as far a I know it is completely sold out - it was a limited release. Maybe it pops up on ebay/aliexpress now and then. Good elephant figures are surprisingly hard to come by in 1:35.

May have to settle for the standard 1/32's.

i also just noticed that back of the frill is painted with ornament, that's certainly rare thing

You often see eyespot patterns used for intimidation on the front of the frill, but backwards facing eyespots to intimidate those attacking from behind is an interesting choice that I would like to see more of!

I have to say I think the Utahceratops is Haolonggood's best ceratopsid yet, better than even their Triceratops and Chasmosaurus.  The Chasmosaurus being a favourite of mine, but the paintjob and size look better for the Utahceratops in my opinion.  It makes me hope that Haolonggood has some other species which appeal to me up their sleeve.  I have no interest in another Tyrannosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Mosasaurus or Torosaurus.  And while being nice choices, Brachiosaurus, Hungarosaurus, Udanoceratops and Shantungosaurus are of no interest to me as well.
