DinoToyBlog email notifications

I've changed the 'newsletter' plugin I use on the Dinosaur Toy Blog to something more flexible and easier to manage. I've migrated over all existing subscriber emails from the old system to the new, so you don't need to resubscribe if you already subscribed – you should continue to receive notifications without interruption. But, please let me know if you do stop receiving email notifications! You may also notice some superficial differences in the appearance of the email notifications.

I've also added a new subscription form to the bottom of each post on the blog, to help grow our list of subscribers. If you haven't already subscribed, do consider it, to receive an email notification when new posts are published as well as an occasional newsletter.

Did you and others receive an email notification for the Kosmoceratops (Ultimate Dinosaurs by Yowie Group), just posted by @Gwangi on the DinoToyBlog? The "from" email may have changed so notifications could be going into junk now.

I checked my email and it came trough okay in hotmail, but went into the 'other' category, not the main inbox.

Even before I changed the plugin a few days ago? If so, that suggests a problem with the server rather than the plugins.

...or your email address! It could be blocking them from even getting into the junk...

Though in fact I'm less keen generally on seeing if a new reply to a thread has been posted. That would mean a lot of emails for some threads!  I was more interested in getting an email if someone tagged me in a comment.

That's good! How about notifications from the blog itself? The forum and blog notifications run on different systems so they may behave differently.

One thing that might be connected with the changes. But might be coincidental. I'm getting an annoying pop-up ad bar when I open up the forum on my phone. I'm sure it wasn't there till very recently.

The monstertoyblog posts went straight to the junk, so I unjunkitized them. but the dinotoyblog posts didn't even go to spam. Nothing.
I'm not subscribed to posts in the forum, but I am to the blog. Last post I saw was my Xenoceratops, afterwards I got nothing.
Lemme try again.

I can confirm that I've had the most recent email notification about new blog posts.  I can also add that the intrusive adds are not just on my phone but are in full flow on my desktop too.  The one at the top annoyingly keeps shifting the DTF itself down from where I'd scrolled to.

Thanks, I'm aware of the popup ads, they are annoying and I'll remove them.
