Slightly better picture of forthcoming Concavenator figure from Paleofiguras. Appears to have a fixed jaw as in the case of the Majungasaurus.

The sculpt and pose look very elegant. I love it!

Interesting thing is that Majungasaurus are HLG-139 and HLG-140, and Styracosaurus HLG-155 and HLG-156. Now Concavenator is HLG-152 and if I see this correctly HLG-151. I wonder what is in between these known numbers.

Gwangi

It's exciting to see that the Concavenator looks to be on par with the Majungasaurus. A really good Concavenator is something I'm been increasingly wanting in my collection and I passed on Safari's in hopes of something better down the road.

Sculpt is fine. Kinda hate the paint on this.

DefinitelyNOTDilo

I actually love the paint, the pattern reminds me of something I can't put my finger on, but it just feels right for Conc lol.

I dont like to criticize HLG because not only they are talented and hardworking in producing these figures, but they are also kind and open with us as well. Howeverz I must be honest, I do not like the concavenator. Maybe its the paint thats the main gripe, but the sculpt seems a bit too skinny(?).
Perhaps newer pics might be better.

kinda funny how none of the cocavenators on the market satisfy me, except for the Carnegie one. MAN that one was the BEST 👌

What are the colors for other concavenator variant? This one similar to majungasaurus.

I don't think it's skinny compared to skeletals but i think it's the upright neck position. Also 1st & 2nd page photos is better for the shape. Angle of the photo above makes it look worse.

Precisely why I'm holding off judgement until we see pics of the actual figure. All we have now are incredibly blurry images of the box and catalogue.

I am not satisfied with any Concavenator currently on the market. So I hope HLG's one will be the one to finally enter my collection.

I'm intrigued by the green variant, with those whitish stripes and the red highlight on the neck it kinda looks like a JP3 Brachiosaurus.

SidB

The latest blurry picture seems to indicate a figure that I like better than my Safari or Favorite specimens. Of course my all time choice has been the Carnegie one by Forest Rogers, part of her final run of superb dinosaurs. Is this HLG a better  one? That might be an unfair question, because Rogers' version is a much larger scaled one and that's potentially a big advantage for detailing. But then again, since the HLG will be 1/35, consistent  with the bulk of my collections, that's a point in its favor.

Pliosaurking

Both the Brachiosaurus and Concavanator look good so far, can't wait to see better pics of them.

as one user in Paleofiguras noticed  ;D

Ambre

The concavenator is a must buy for me. i'll wait to see more pictures of the brachi (and the price lmao)

Turkeysaurus

Fixed jaw means open mouth for theropods though.

I could care less back in the day but since theropods have lips now i prefer articulated jaws.

I generally prefer fixed mouths, but sculpted shut and with lips. But you're right; it seems companies will almost always sculpt the mouths agape if given the choice between open and closed mouths for predators, which is a shame. I love the look of a peaceful carnivore that's hiding its teeth.

Turkeysaurus

I like how this works but i'm sure many would be mad at seam line.

This would also make the figures much more expensive. Not feasible for small and relatively cheap figures. This is why we commonly see this on expensive PVC figures or on resin statutes.

Turkeysaurus

Unfortunately true. If only it turns out that Theropods also had Komodo Dragons gum line, i can see "shut mouth" theropods booming. lol.
