A list of most reviewed genera is automatically generated here (based on genus tags): https://dinotoyblog.com/genera/

There seem to be a few discrepancies in the top 10s, in the blog list Stegosaurus has 81 instead of 80, and Mammuthus has 41 instead of 38 (putting it in the top 10), but maybe you're intentionally excluding certain reviews, or reviews have been tagged wrongly?

It's the latter. And some of those Mammuthus reviews are of the steppe mammoth, not the woolly mammoth.

Let me know which ones so I can correct them. :)

This one of yours needs to be tagged with 'woolly mammoth.'

The remaining two are of the steppe mammoth.

Thanks, I just tagged that review with "Woolly mammoth".

Obviously, Woolly mammoth and Steppe mammoth are different species in the same genus so it depends how strict we want to be when counting them - I think split them up when counting. We also divide up the humans by species, but in that case we don't have a tag for just "Homo". Maybe we should? Or, maybe we should follow suit and replace the genus "Mammuthus" with the binomials "Mammuthus primigenius" and "Mammuthus trogontherii"? Either way, we are going to have the same review tagged under more than one 'genus' name.

Did you ID the cause of the Stegosaurus discrepancy?

suspsy

The 82 was a typo, so Steggy is good.

Binomials is probably the best solution for the mammoths. The Columbian mammoth will also be added to the blog this year, so that will make three.
