As I continue to hunt more ceratopsians for my collection, does anyone think PNSO will eventually make a kosmoceratops or should I just pull the trigger on the HLG

That might be a long wait for a train don't come. They released one ceratopsian in 2024 and none in 2023.

Don't bother waiting. Grab the HLG. There's two chances that PNSO will produce a Kosmoceratops this year - slim and none.

A large part of why I wrote what I did is because the Kosmo is not a very common subject for companies to make into a mass produced figure. The Camaro is quite a bit more likely to be fabricated. For example, Safari has done it twice, the first time for the Safari Carnegie line, then later as part of the Wild Safari group of figures.

I mean, if you don't like the HLG Kosmoceratops, then don't get it just to have a Kosmo. Wait for the one you want. I'm sure PNSO could make a better one but I think HLG's is good enough.

Although also good enough I think the HLG Kosmoceratops is pretty darn close to excellent. I wouldn't replace it with one from PNSO even it was better.

Kosmoceratops is in top 10 most famous ceratopsians i believe, right? Triceratops, Torosaurus, Styracosaurus , Centrosaurus , Chasmosaurus, Pentaceratops , Protoceratops , Kosmoceratops etc. Maybe PNSO or some other company will try their chances on Kosmoceratops.

I think other than obscure species and really large 1:35 sauropods , i am going to wait for a while to compare with other brands unless i'm dead sure it's certainly great for my taste or my budget.

It's better to wait and even pay more for something you think great than just buying because it's good enough. This is how i feel about latest Majungasaurus & Concavenator by Haolonggood and i'll just wait someone (PNSO?) do better.

I think buying just to complete a collection or whatever the collection is lack of can be a mistake most collectors. I have my own questionable purchases for those reasons. They feel like place holders now until a better one comes up. Probably that's not a good reason to  purchase.

I don't think it is actually, I can think of 10 ceratopians more famous than Kosmoceratops:
1. Triceratops
2. Styracosaurus
3. Pachyrhinosaurus
4. Protoceratops
5. Psittacosaurus
6. Nasutoceratops
7. Sinoceratops
8. Chasmosaurus
9. Centrosaurus
10. Pentaceratops

Yeah maybe you are right because Jurassic World pushed some of them above in popularity. Still ther are few too small and there are some already made by PNSO.

I want PNSO Pentaceratops , Nasutoceratops and Haolonggood for Centrosaurus btw.

Which one do you think better PNSO or Mesozoic Life Spinosaurus? Why?

MESOZOIC LIFE
Hes bigger, more muscular, looks more natural, with cooler colours. 😎

edit: i accidentally tyoed "he" reffering to the ML, but now that i think of it Pnso and ML would make a good pair of female and male

Pliosaurking

I much prefer the look of the Mesozoic Life Spinosaurus. Only thing it's not 1:35 scale so I may get Pnsos in the future.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I have both, the ML is larger and nicely painted, but I feel the PNSO is better detailed.

Sim

PNSO's.  I prefer the colouration of the ML, but the PNSO looks more realistic and I prefer it for that reason.  The tail of the ML is reconstructed as a paddle, which is in contradiction to how extinct animals with paddle tails have the extension formed out of soft tissue only, and extant animals with tail sails really do have sails rather than a paddle.  Plus the webbing on one of the ML's foot is incomplete and that spoils the figure for me.

Protopatch

The colour scheme of the PNSO and its stumpy little legs appear more realistic to me.
The ML's forelimbs are quite long in comparison with those of the PNSO, and its pose makes me think more about a "quadrupedal" Spinosaurus.

Quote from: Joel1905 on December 30, 2024, 02:23:17 PMTbh I'm just accepting the probability that we'll never get another PNSO figure, or at least any on a regular basis.

Expect the worst and at least you'll never be disappointed!

RIP PNSO, it was great while it lasted.

It's just sad how it ended, and it was so quick. Just a sudden (and huge) decline in output and then a total stop.
not to put this person on blast just using this as an example but I was looking back on the forum looking for pictures of the pnso alamo and I stumbled upon that era where so many thought pnso was dead and done lol.
