(sorry if posted in the wrong location)

I emailed HHT early this morning inquiring if they would be restocking any of their Beasts of the Mesozoic figures and/or getting any new ones, and was quickly answered with the title of this thread.

Most of what's left is the 1:6 figures from the raptor line, but there's a small handful of ceratopsians and tyrannosaurs as well. Price reduction is pretty darn good, and their shipping is extremely fast (for me in the midwest, at least).

Just thought I'd let any other BotM collectors know, get them before they are gone :(

Hmmm... I wonder if this is something to worry about with other retailers...

I wouldn't be surprised if it was just due to competition from Creative Beast's own US-based store. Creative Beast selling directly to customers cuts out the need for "middle-men" in a sense.

I asked in an email after having to return multiple figures and they replied saying BOTM has too high of a defect rate. I have had this same issue when ordering directly from Creative Beast. Figures with two left feet or two right feet on multiple occasions. My Teratophoneus was literally missing part of it's lower leg.. It's mostly an issue with the Tyrannosaur line. Never had issues like this with the old Raptors. I got tired of having to contact the website for replacement parts.

Interesting about others experiencing a high defect rate.  I have experienced this too, and it ultimately put me off both BotM and action figures in general.  I would be willing to give them another try if the high defect rate was no longer present.  The misaligned lower jaws should never have happened, for example.

That's fair, for their price the QC is really hit or miss. I recall having to go through a couple specimens of the Yutyrannus before settling on one due to noticeable glue defects on the head.

I'm saddened that there's no "Free shipping if you spend $X" for other sites that sell BotM that I'm aware of, which is another reason I went with HHT. I've so far been very lucky with my figures' QC (minus some human-error when it comes to the paint), but it's sad to know I won't really have many other options to order from :(

I've noticed the same defect on my BotM's Velociraptor (1:18 in black) but don't find it's a huge inconvenience.
Anyways, HHT doesn't offer international shipping for the moment, such a shame  :(

I picked up a couple more Velociraptor variants and Tsaagan. I can do a pack with the raptors now with my original one, the Protoceratops, the desert base pack and the fledglings lol

it is concerning for the longer term future of the BOTM line if retailers stop carrying the line.  It's fun to get good deals but it is often bad news in the long run.

If QC is the real reason (rather than price or level of interest by consumers) that is a pretty fixable problem on the part of Creative Beasts.

I've had QC issues myself and it never bothers me.  I touch up paint, straighten bent parts etc.  But i can see many consumers, especially those without model building experience, not being happy, especially given the price tag of the figures.

There are other stores carrying them, Lana just started doing so.  My guess is the raptors are done with in the larger scale. If David made new ones likely as not they would be upgrades from these.  David sells them on his site which I'm betting is the primary focus for sales in North America. Dans Dinosaurs also sells them but I think he gets them drop shipped from David?

I actually still have a couple raptors in box that I've never opened as of it.
