I mean... Moguera  doesn't even have a song.

My favourite Godzilla characters have always been Mothra, Jet Jaguar, and Hedorah. But I generally much prefer the Showa era Godzilla stuff over all the rest.
I never thought twice about Moguera until now, but just learnt that the character was originally from a 1957 film before appearing in the Heisei/Millennium Godzilla films.

If it's anything like the cheesy sci-fi Showa stuff, I think I might love this...

The Mysterians is Toho taking what they had learned with Godzilla's first two films and Rodan, and applying it to pure Sci-Fi, in an attempt to match the massive, epic films of Hollywood. Battle In Outer Space (1959) and Gorath (1962) are in the same vein, very much Showa-era Toho, but with a serious Sci-Fi bent.

That sounds perfect. I'll absolutely be checking it out soon.
I'm a huge fan of science fiction/horror films from the 50s-70s, but almost all of what I've seen is western, with the exception of the Showa Godzilla stuff. I've seen Rodan 1956, Mothra 1961, and a handful of others, but I had never heard of the Mysterians until now.

I think this take might be about as frigid as the norse Hel. Jet Jaguar has a pretty big cult following in the fandom and people barely ever talk about Moguera, especially the original Mysterians one
Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

Moguera rulez! 🦾
