What is the best allosaurus model/toy so far?

What do y'all think?

For 1:35 in particular...

I mean we got the PNSO Allosaurus anax but we lack good jimmadsenis and fragilis models...

I'm holding out until September, when the BOTM Allosaurus fragilis and Jimmadseni 1:35 editions are dropping...

Are there any others I should consider?

AcryAllo

As you can see, I'm a die hard allosaurus fan

Skorpio V.

I really like the Safari Ltd. release, although it obviously differs aesthetically from more recent offerings since it's hand-sculpted.

As the review on the DTB states, the Vitae Chilantaisaurus would be a good stand-in for a 1:35 sub-adult or 1:45 fully-grown Allosaurus. I love the proportions on that one.

I've always liked the head sculpt on the newer, small CollectA figure, but the lower half, as other members have stated, is pretty underwhelming.

Yeah the CollectA small one is nice tbh..
Never like the safari one it's head looks a bit weird imo

I think the weird head might just come down to the way the "cheeks" are sculpted. The underlying skull is a dead ringer for Allosaurus fragilis and is pretty close to the Dinosaur National Monument skull.

Also, despite representing Allosaurus anax, the PNSO Saurophaganax figure is almost entirely based on A. fragilis, except for the scale.

Sim

I have the most recent Safari Allosaurus and the PNSO Allosaurus Paul as my A. fragilis and A. jimmadseni and I'm happy with them.

Duna

Without any doubt, PNSO Saurophaganax (Allosaurus fragilis).

I thought it was a new species A. anax

But overall i agree, but what would you say for each species within?

It is, but PNSO based the sculpt on fragilis, so functionally it's a larger scaled A. fragilis.

I have the collecta one and it's pretty great, although the eyes need repainting since they are the same color as it's skin. I repainted mine with a black marker, and it turned out great! But as far as allosaurus figures go, I'd say that the pnso saurophaganax or A.anax is the best one.

Which year was it? the 2020? I like that one too even if i dont have it.

Though it is a bit small, no?

PNSO 2021 allo was pretty cool too.

Yes, it's from 2020 and yes, it's is a bit small. I gotta admit I quite didn't like it when I first received it, as I only saw promotional pictures before getting it and I was dissapointed, but it has grown on me. I love it now

I don't like 2021s pnso allosaurus. Never understood the hype

oh gods you remind of the time I tried to fix my PNSO model (just a few paint top ups) with color markers and caused a crack to form on the crest... How does that even happen?

I have always had a soft spot for Papo Allosaurus, although I know everything that´s wrong about it :*D

Same!  ::D  But it was one of the first dinosaurs I bought when I started collecting and for a while was probably the most impressive toy in my collection.

Today, in times of hyper-real models, you probably can't lure anyone out from behind the stove with this thing anymore. But back then this thing seemed top notch. :)

The worst allo model I've seen was literally a t.rex with a crest
