I was 10 years old when the show ended and I was absolutely gutted over the last episode. I cried, and it was perhaps the first ever TV show or movie to make me cry. Bambi, The Lion King, The Land Before Time, none of those made me cry. I was really invested in that show. I had the toys, VHS tapes, puzzles, you name it. That said, it was smart to end the show the way they did, and the show was never really for kids anyway.

Kind of relieved I didn't watch it growing up as a kid. That said, as depressing as that episode is, it echos either what our species is doing to our planet then, and now, or what we could still do to make matters worse.

I wanted to like the show back in the day, but I really couldn't stand Earl as a character. And I totally get what the writers were aiming for, and I think they did a good job of it, but I'll still never like that show.
