A few month ago I picked up this Schleich Styracosaurus in the purpose of repainting it one day because of the atrocious factory paint they decided to put on it. So I primed it and now I'm finally doing it! It's my first time repainting a figure and I just finished the base layer.

If you have any tips or criticism I'll gladly read them ;).

I'm looking forward to the outcome of your repaint, avatar_Halzk @Halzk . To my surprise, no one has reviewed the factory version of this new figure on the blog, so far. nor does there seem to be much reaction this summer to repaints in general, just a few scattered reactions, few and far between. Such a contrast to the interest levels on the topic of collectors re-doing their figures , as in the past, IMO.

Ludodactylus

That looks great already and I'm excited to see where you go with these colors!
"The most popular exhibits in any natural history museum are, without doubt, the dinosaurs. These creatures' popularity grows each year, partly because of the recent resurgence of dinosaur movies, but also because a skeleton of a full-sized Tyrannosaurus rex still has the ability, even 65 million years after its death, to chill us to the bone." - Ray Harryhausen

Lynx

Woah, the figure actually looks amazing without the original paint application. The sculpt is awesome looking. Awesome colors, can't wait to see the result!
An oversized house cat.

PrimevalRaptor

Looking forward to this, I like the colors you picked and it really highlights how the sculpt is actually stunning. That model always seems like a prime repaint candidate to me.

Looking forward to seeing how it progresses!

Reactions to almost everything are down this summer, I think.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

The red on the tail is already so striking and beautiful! Looking forward to seeing how this develops :)

I hope that it's just a summer-time slump and not the beginning of a trend. People put so much of their time and talents into these works.
