I also don't like to use wingspans to estimate pterosaur scales because it isn't always clear whether somebody is estimating the combined length of the wing elements or actually accounting for some amount of flexion. So my estimate is based on the skull length, which is about 4.8 cm.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Quote from: Elengassen on August 26, 2024, 03:18:47 PMI have the old Schleich Replicasaurus Pteranodon. It's about 1:30 (I think), and it doesn't have pycnofibres but is otherwise a pretty good figure.
I think the Favorite Pteranodon (both old and new versions) are about the same size as the Schleich. I'm not sure whether they have pycnofibres.
Yes, the old Favorite Pteranodon sternbergi had a wingspan of about 17.5 cm which at 1:35 would be about 6.1 meters, real P. sternbergi had a wingspan of about 6 meters. I think it's out of production unless the new version you mention is exactly the same as the old, either way you can usually find mint versions on eBay like this one.

For Pteranodon longiceps there is the Takara Tomy ANIA Pteranodon which has a wingspan of about 16 cm, at 1:35 that's 5.6 m, which matches up with average male according to this page.
I noticed that both the 2004 and 2013 Pteranodons by Favorite are still available on the Dejankins website.
