I have topic threads on the ATF and STS for this so I thought I'd add one here too. If anyone would like to add their own photos/comparisons here or requests for them- please feel free to post! But as I get models I will try to post comparison shots.

Some comparison shots with my new birthday additions (see my thread for the other models).

Hi avatar_Saarlooswolfhound @Saarlooswolfhound , nice pics and figures, but I'm not quite clear about your explanations. Is this a thread of your collection, is it a thread about different figures of the same species  or is this a thread for comparison shots of certain figures? If the last is correct, we already have  a hread for that -  the comparison thread ("How these figures look together"). Or am I currently under a misunderstanding?

avatar_Libraraptor @Libraraptor That's my mistake- feel free to merge with any existing comparison topic! It didn't come up in my search because I was using terminology. This is just meant to show some folks a rough size/quality comparison with similar figures.

Libraraptor

Alright, let´s just keep it as it is. I only was a little confused, since we do already have specific threads for specific groups of extinct animals. Won´t merge it or do anything else about it ;)

I presume you also have a good number of modern elephant figures?

Oh yes! I have several African and Asian elephant models by major brands. Did you want to see a comparison or were you just asking?

Halichoeres

Oh, just curious! Given other posts I've seen from you, I would have been surprised if you didn't have some. :)

A comparison of modern and prehistoric elephants sounds great! I have the new collecta bush elephant and I would like to see it beside other proboscideans, as I'm thinking of getting the eofauna paleoloxodon

Why not check out "Dinosaur Toys (General)", the Proboscidians in the same scale thread.

I actually don't have that one (yet) but am always happy to help with measurements and comparison photos! (I am hopeless at getting a good grasp of scale myself).

You can see what elephants I have on my collection website (The Curious Compendium) under the African and Asian Mammals tabs- feel free to let me know what you'd like comparisons done with if you are still interested.

I think that it was avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy who had recommended the new CollectA African as  the best of the best of its type. I have one and I tend to agree. I'd recommend it to you too.

Spinokaprogorgon

In my opinion, it's the best elephant figure out there. And also one of the best collectas

Generally speaking, CollectA's modern mammals are top-tier these days. If I collected modern stuff, I might start with their ungulates.

Indeed, it appears to be a nice model and it'll make its way to my herd eventually. I quite like 3 other contemporary models that I *do* have though and think are wonderful examples too- this Safari Ltd. Bull, this Mojo, or this Papo.
