A new paper for those interested in Triassic archosaurs closely related to modern-day alligators, crocodiles, caimans, and gavials:

Desojo, J.B., and Rauhut, O.W.M., 2024. Reassessment of the enigmatic "Prestosuchus" loricatus (Archosauria: Pseudosuchia) from the Middle-Late Triassic of southern Brazil. The Anatomical Record doi:10.1002/ar.25401

In this paper, the new genus Schultzsuchus is erected for the "rauisuchian" Prestosuchus loricatus, which was considered either  junior synonym of Prestosuchus chiniquensis or a distinct taxon, and a cladistic analysis of Schultzsuchus finds this taxon to be a poposauroid and not a prestosuchid, constituting the second occurrence of Poposauroidea from South America.
