So a couple of years ago I started doing this thing where whenever I come to a Wikipedia entry for a prehistoric creature that doesn't have an artistic rendering, I bookmarked it into a special folder just in case some day I win the lottery and I can keep John Gurche on retainer.

Anyway, Today I noticed that there was art for Shri devi that someone uploaded, and it's an artist who goes by FunkMonk on Wikipedia. If you look at their page, it looks like they've been going around Wikipedia and making art for any prehistoric animal that doesn't have any, kind of like Nobu Tamura. I really like their style too. Maybe it's just a function of Wikipedia and/or my computer, but when you look at them as thumbnails it almost looks like pixel art. Anyway, check it out! https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:FunkMonk/Files_created

Their Velocisaurus (posted 2013) seems to have been the inspiration for Recur's Velocisaurus/Velociraptor toy, at least in terms of palette:

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.
